Our entire being revolves around the metabolism, as it turns out. I highly recommend Brain Energy by neuroscientist Chris Palmer on that, it's fascinating. I believe this is why my PTSD has remained manageable, I still have a lot of very intense traumas to overcome, but that feels accomplishable.

My journey…. I was pregnant with my first child in 2002 as a vegetarian of 8 years. I ate a lot of food… gained 49 pounds in a few months. I started eating meat in the fourth month…. Made me feel like my body was no longer digesting itself. Balance is important!!!!

I really enjoyed your video. You’re very intelligent. I started experimenting with my diet after being keto for years. Then got stomach issues again like yours (ongoing). IF always clears it up but I’m tired of getting them. Starting experimenting with just meat no dairy and noticing huge changes in my HRV and mood and stomach issues and acid reflux. I will need to do meat only for a while to heal depression/anxiety and gut issues, mental clarity, brittle nails, bags under eyes. I know in a month I’m going to feel amazing because I did one day of just pure meat and eggs and the next day I felt on top of the world. I know it will be difficult at first but it will get used to it like i did with GF keto. Thanks for sharing your words of wisdom!!! I’m so happy for you ❤

Keto for me and my father is giving amazing results. We feel so much better and have more energy. I will be making the transition to mostly meat now. It’s kind of happening naturally anyway as I find I need much less to run my body. Intermittent fasting comes naturally without effort because you become less hungry as time goes on.

Yes fat is important. I was having health issues and changed my diet, taking out all dairy, but I did not substitute enough alternative fat into my diet and started losing weight continually for over a year until my chest was basically gone. What changed was adding coconut oil into one meal a week and I started gaining weight again.

    • @CourtneyCoulson

@@CourtneyCoulson it was more complicated than that, I didn't want to go to lengthy in my response before.. I was also steadily becoming more anemic at the time to dangerous Ievels. Since I didn't have health insurance, I didn't seek healthcare as much as I should have, but part of that is the doctors I did see were crap. All I know for sure is that my symptoms causing the anemia reduced with the change in diet. I did eventually get a blood transfusion that brought my hemoglobin levels up, but only to an 8. All that together then with coconut oil, which is 65% saturated fat per tablespoon, may have been why I stopped losing weight and started gaining it back.

We had to do the same food log assignment in my health class (7th grade) and I trace my eating disorder back to that assignment too. We didn’t have to announce to the class, but the teacher would comment on your food log whether it was good or bad, under eating or over eating. I never thought about food before that assignment, but afterwards I became fixated on food and became very underweight until 19 y/o

Sure thing, that sounds like a hard routine to stick to. What's your macros? That's the most important thing. Macronutrient ratio, carbs, protein and fat. I average about 30g of carbs at most, and about 300g of fat and 300g of protein.

Im "autistic" and honestly the way autism is defined is mess. No argees what causes it, and no one argees what should fall under. Personally i think it might have some genetic basis, my father has traits that likely whould have been diagnosed as autistic or asperger's if he born today. But i don't think those traits are constant and really can change depending on context, i know for while i would get moments were i when non-verbal due to stress, yet as i took steps to better manage stress it reduced. I think diet whould have a serious on our emotional state and the we traits end up expressing.
The autistic community is more likely concerned due to the many abusive methods that have been to "treat or cure" autism, like ABA or Shock Therapy. They hear the words "cure" and the it reminds them too much of Autism Speaks or other groups that abuse autistics.
Honestly i think the ability to manage your traits without the "medical industry" is extremely important. Considering and adjusting my habbits and personal prayer has done more for my gender dysphoria and my autism, then anything the medical industry has done for me.
Autistics or wantever new name it's going get in the next 20 years or so, need to learn to manage our needs if we want to be free from the medical system.

I believe our ancestors did have diabetes but no way of testing and knowing and it did cause issues. But they had no idea. Grains have been consumed for quite a long time but it’s already been known the cause the issues I believe. Before insulin they prescribed carnivore or keto before the big push on insulin. They make a lot of money off of it. I have heard of people reversing thyroid disorders with these diets as well but don’t quote me. Always do what is needed to make sure you’re healthy and not harming yourself.

I recently rewatched a very funny satire movie (1994) with Anthony Hopkins, "The Road to Wellville," supposedly about John Kellogg (the cereal guy) and his clinic here in America, well worth a watch and free right now here on you tube. As a bible believer near age 70 who actually does read and study my King James bible daily, I would have to call the seventh day adventists a cult and not Christian. (There truly is a myriad of beliefs among so-called "Christians" these days). Anyway, if you go through scripture, you can see where diet has changed progressively over time. Long story short, since the time of Paul the apostle (who tells us more than once in his epistles that he was specifically called by the risen Christ Himself and given revelations different than what went before). Basically, he concludes that whatever we can catch, we can eat, "nothing to be refused." See I Timothy 4:4-5 KJV.
I personally eat what I call "granny style," two veggies on my plate with a piece of chicken, fish, pork or beef for dinner. I love eggs and some dairy. I truly love a wide variety, good food and occasionally junk (though I've cut most of that out), and I'm out walking daily. When I need to lose some pounds before I see my doc yearly (I have high blood pressure, well controlled on one pill daily), I cut waaaay back on the carbs, hard for me since I LOVE bread and pasta of any kind. My own grandmother lived to be 96 on a diet high in pork, believe it or not. I'm very much enjoying your channel and certainly do wish you the best! You look like a million bucks and very healthy!
