The strap can be used a few different ways. I use it as a chest strap to pull the shoulder straps together. It makes a big difference when you have the cooler fully loaded. I wish they sold this strap as an accessory because it would be great for so many things (picnic blanket, beach towel, footwear, etc.)

I thinking I’m doing the same. They don’t have anything close to this. I may exchange at the end of the summer but not before.
@JS yea, we can probably exchange them for the updated version if they do update the issue.
Exactly. Holding out for that. They did offer a $350 gift card and have a smaller backpack for $250. Always an option but 6-12 week turnaround on the gift card.

Nope. They recalled them all!
I bought the m12 after the recall I had the m20 felt it was too big returned it and realized there not that much of a difference between the 2 alittle bit bigger not to much

Yeah that happens sometimes when they aren’t found elsewhere. Check some of the other colors on there. Sometimes there is a big difference in price.

Yep, just contact yeti customer service and they're processing my recall. I loved my Yeti M30 so much, I ignored the recall. Then I moved overseas and that's when it started to have issues.
The issue is the magnets started to separate from the liner. Mine had the magnets being ripped from the eroding liner and the liner was separating from the back and the magnets were getting exposed. Then the magnetic liners would stay magnetized while separating from the cooler. Some exposed magnets that were exposed to water or exposed too long began to rust.
I believe the 3rd generation M Series have resolved the magnetic flap issue. To their credit, customer service has been very cool. They answer each email super fast and said they're gonna send my fully paid DHL shipping label. From there, I pack my Yeti, slap on the pre-paid label, and send.
Since I now live outside the usa, they will not give me store credit. Instead they'll send a refund to my PayPal. It's supposed to be $325 for the cooler and like $30 for the sidekick, but I'm not 100% sure on that. It's supposed to take 3-6 weeks for my PayPal to get credited from the time they receive it.
Again, I think the recall process would be 5x easier if I still lived in the usa. But if they're being legit and gonna refund me for a 4 year old defective cooler, then I give them credit.
The recall involves getting a new one with a better magnet strip right? So yeah big recall but replacing the same product just changing the magnets.

My M30 finally bottomed out. No more use at all. Magnets and the liner are dangling and It won't even seal any longer. I maxxed it out.
I got the confirmation last week they received my M30 and the sidekick. I should get a refund in the next month.
How much beer can you fit in here?
I just loaded it up with 28 slim cans and still had room. Probably at least a 30 pack of regular cans.
