This was and is not just a family this was and is a Dynasty That helped to keep a province in its life’s blood music Great ambasadors for the province and country My mother came to Limerick from ballymacpeake in service and married my father I was born in 1942 into a musical desert but my mother sang and was very good we had no electricity No radio it was 1960 before I head them play and was amazed historical moments
Whoever did the cc did not understand the accent. But the whole thing is great. I had an uncle born in 1930 who just loved them. Peach Figure for Pete Seeger, the cc is quite funny.

Recall some of these folks at a fleadh in Boyle in the early 1960s....one was an adjudicator as I remember.
An outstanding video of pure Irish history. Love it.
Does anybody happen to know what became of Kathleen? 'Eileen Aroon' was always my favourite of their recordings.
Always associate the McPeake Family with "The Jug Of Punch" and many more ballads even before The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem.
What an extraordinary Irish family and a true traditional music legacy.
