The many comments about Blair being a war criminal are correct but blaming him is targetting the wrong people. The stupid lazy English people allowed him to commit his crimes in their names. Even now they could crowd fund a prosecution to put him in prison. Look in the mirror. Did, or do you, support the war in Ukraine.? Did you allow your government to assist the massacre of the people in Gaza? It took the Palestinians themselves to use our courts to force the government to stop sending arms to Israel. Did you know that? If not you were complicit in the crime of genocide.

Before Blair, the workers in shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants, factories, on farms, building sites, etc. were British workers.
Because of Blair, now most of those jobs have been taken by im migrants, that are in many cases living 5-10 per house! And working for ££ per hour lower than British workers would be able to live on!

Others are claiming he has a skewed world view (probably his support of rules based policy bs which is now falling apart) - nobody is saying he didn't know enough.
Seriously, your comment is the worst I've ever read. We live in a democracy... that means we choose who represents us in government. I've only clicked on this to post and do not intend to listen to anything he has to say. This capitalist, who masqueraded as a class warrior, was recently photographed on a billionaire's yacht wearing a pair of £820.00 loafers. I have nothing against capitalism but everything against rank hypocrisy and he is the personification of the term. The damage he did to this country is incalculable and the way he sold his own country out by encouraging mass uncontrolled immigration for a few votes was despicable. 'Things can only get better' alright and they did but only for him and his family.

You’re not the only one. He did a lot of good for the UK; I have great respect for him. The comments are the usual suspects; unhinged and not as firmly in the majority as they think they are.

@@dreamer2260 you are right about him doing good things tho I can't lie and I don't like him solely because of the Iraq war
If that didn't happen he would have been one of our best prime ministers

True leaders do not see themselves as leaders and do not gain obedience by force or backroom deals, true leaders inspire by their actions and in so doing they acquire disciples and are emulated.
I think Blair's statement that you shouldn't go into politics unless you want to change things reveals all. He desires power, fame and a place in history so much he can taste it. This motivation has grossly blinded him to his very obvious shortcomings, I'm sure there would be a Jungian explanation for this. In truth he is a narcissist and a war criminal, but one that is sufficiently politically adept to be able to control even this narrative.
