I have a very similar setup using a Raspberry pi Venus but one thing you didn't mention, which I have learned the hard way is that the RPi gets its power from the inverter, which when it does a firmware update, drops the load during a reboot and the inverter then needs a total system reinstall. On the other hand, the Cerbo units are powered directly off the battery, so therefore are always powered up.

@@fraserstewart7359 I have a 12V system, so I would need a 12V to 5V converter, would that be AC or DC........?
Great vid - thanks for posting - what Screen / Case did you use for VenusOS on the RPI ?
What com leads would you use to link server batteries, multiplus and a raspberry pi together?
Cheers.
