I had a similar experience where a course teacher wrote in my reports that i had ASD which was inaccurate. It wasn’t the teacher’s fault and it was a mistake. However, the youth worker gave her that information and assumed I had ASD. She should’ve went to do her research on my needs first. She apologised but I was upset because of her assumption. I told her that I have a learning difficulty but not ASD. When I was upset, she wasn’t so sympathetic. All they had to do is to research and that would be a reasonable adjustment.
My daughter has been treated very unfairly in the past. I’m a nurse, and often have had to advocate for her as they talk over her, which infuriates me! The last time we went, the GP sent her with a letter explaining why she was there. The ANP (advanced nurse practitioner) didn’t read it, hadn’t realised she’s type 1 Diabetic, and kept raising his voice to her as she was shy, quiet and she had a mask on. She was there for episodes of fainting and very low blood pressure!
I am a disable living with some incurable disease. I know what I'm saying, disable people had many problems to overcome because the reasonable adjustments treat seems to be very slow. I loose hope as I could not had careers for my studies because I have health problems. This must change.

Treat us well that's all I ask you. Don't push us away
A & E nurses and doctors also need to be alert to the fact that some of their patients may have learning difficulties or be disorientated.

This is really clear and well explained
I wot to say up till 3 o’clock in the morning
Change 'learning disability' to 'assistance seeker'.
Reasonable adjustment?
