@@FriedShrimpPoBoyI am told by our Shop that the driver can not adjust the time display. It must be done by a tech. It is often “lost” during operation so they no longer bother. Not sure if this makes sense but it’s their story and they are sticking to it.
@@billware6721 Thanks. I ended up going into the advanced menu and turning it off. If I can’t set it then there’s no reason to have it displayed. There’s many other working clocks in this truck.
This video saved my ass in 80 degree heat. My companies maechanics did some inspection on my brand new peterbilt 579 and the apu would not come on. I was up until 1am trying to fix it and resetting the HMI FIXED IT!!!!
I've had my new truck for 2 days and the apu shuts off for no reason. I went thru these procedures to SHUT DOWN, and it's now stuck on the last screen SHUTTING DOWN (frozen screen). What do I do now? 🤔
Standby mode is to pause apu for fueling etc Monitor mode is to charge the battery’s when away and temperature control won’t work but battery and coolant temperature will be maintained
@ u never really want to use standby apu won’t turn on and charge the battery’s either leave it in monitor mode or on default screen with temperature off and fan off apu should still turn on when battery’s are low
Brand new Freightliner. Heat keeps tripping off and never turns back on all night unless I turn it all the way back up to 80 again. Shop found no codes.
Why does my APU work good for a time then I get that notice on the top left that says Engine Switch Off. with 2 alarms A288 and A68. My engine switch is not off. But the HMI controller thinks it is. Last time this happened the company tractor shop disconnected my battery for like 20 minutes then it worked. Surely there has a better way to fix this issue. I’m currently dealing with this now for weekend and thermoking is closed on weekends and it’s 90+ outside.
I don’t like this version either. My apu blows cold air for a minute then starts blowing warm air for like an hour. I took it to thermo king they told me it stops blowing cold air to charge the truck so it won’t die , I didn’t have this issue with the old apu the one with the knobs🤦🏿♂️ it’s too hot for this
I got the new thermo king apu gen 2 Been 10 months n has 0 hours never worked! Im losing money everytime i take it to thermo king and they can’t find the problem, what do i do? New unit 0 hours?
My bunk heat works fine until it decides it wants to cut off in the middle of my sleep… I then have to turn the heat off for a while and then restart it… c’mon Thermo king…. Wtf?
Change harness to copper harness this will fix all your problems. Because aluminum didn't work in houses back in 1978 what makes people think it's going to work in a moving tractor .
This thing is a complete piece of shit. It keeps throwing alternator codes and will not charge the batteries. Mine's been in the shop 4 times now, and it was busted from the first day I got it. Brand new truck, and I can't even sleep in peace.
How do you set the time?
Did you ever find out how to set the time?

@@FriedShrimpPoBoyMine has a PIN for Advanced Menu. What is it if yours did too?
@ The PIN is the last 4 digits of your units serial number.
Does this controller also turn on the APU??

What does standby and monitor mode exactly do? What’s the difference between them. Anyone knows it? Thanks

All I have to say is fuck thermoking for this. There's no way to control keeping the engine running. They are a bunch of idiots
Very helpful video thanks ,just used this model now
Keeps giving me error code 288 who made it so this thing needs a network connection for this thing to function
You didn't describe if this has a battery tender mode where it just keeps the batteries charged.

Monitor mode is to charge the battery’s when away and temperature control won’t work but battery and coolant temperature will be maintained
Is it ok to run standby hometime for like 7days straight
Is it best to keep it on monitor mode or standby for hometime? 7days at a time I left mine on standby until I read your message about the two types
@ u never really want to use standby apu won’t turn on and charge the battery’s either leave it in monitor mode or on default screen with temperature off and fan off apu should still turn on when battery’s are low
Does anyone know to keep the air conditioning running throughout the night without the thermostat thinking it’s up to temp and turning off AC?
That code A367 how do you clear or what’s the issue I am having that issue right now

You likely need a software update. 4.0.4 or higher for tripac 3. Can be checked in system details.
My alarm keeps goes off after I keep clean it . Idk what to do whatever that
How do you exit bootloader mode
How to turn on heat mode I only get fan
Nothing wrong with the previous generation control panel. Simple 3 dial setup. Why complicate things?
Anyone else having alot of issues with this new system apu, I have been to dealer 3 times

Porque cuando instalo este tipo de tripac me truena el fusible de 200 en las baterías? Me podría decir?
