Combs was the absolute best at building suspense during fast money. Always loved his “BAM!” when it was a big answer, and when you knew it was going to be close, he could make you wonder “Did they get it?”
There is proof in this episode that, back then, the Fast Money answer reveal sound effect was a separate button from the one for the answer reveal itself. I always thought that the sound (which was not used in the original Dawson era) automatically went off once an answer was revealed, however at around 17:38 when "Cleaning Bathroom" is shown the sound does not go off - implying that a separate button had to be pressed in order to activate the sound effect.
dragon volvagia55 good catch! When I started watching the Feud, I was 5 or 6 years old, and that's when the Combs edition was on, and didn't realize it was Richard Dawson who did the original run until the mid to late 90's, but I still prefer the Combs edition best...but I do like how Richard dipped his toes into possible bisexuality every now and then...it shows during some tapings. But to my point, I have always thought it was annoying that the answer reveal sound wasn't included in Dawson's Feud...but I understand why.
How dated is this that they were advertising Playboy centrefolds coming on the show? I'm even talking about the sexism. People were reading Playboy back then?
