A Lazy Morning (Our Basenjis Slept Longer Than Me)

I am NOT a morning person. It’s in a person’s genes I’ve learned - whether they are an early riser or not - at least that’s the story I’m sticking to.
Dabi and Prisca are always usually awake before me, but this day I had already finished my morning rituals and they were STILL under the covers. It was only when I started to leave the bedroom that they started stirring.
