    That buggy now has a Polaris 400 2-stroke in it so it's a whole new beast. They are under powered with the stock 250cc but not bad with some mods. The high revs at take-off is from the belt driven cvt transmission, basically the same as what a rzr or rhino uses. Like you said, a motorcycle or atv motor would be ideal but not much room to really fit one.

      PanzerDude1 I popped a kawasaki 250 engine in mine. About 24hp at 9500rpm. Hope you post another hill climb wuth the new engine.

      I just put a 04 gsxr 600 in mine still trying to fb finalize it tho

    So what about a sport bike engine... IE a Triumph 955i/trans?

    Probably isn't enough room and you'd lose reverse. Someone posted on youtube a Honda 700XX atv engine swap that hauls ass and is fairly simple to do.
