Steven Cristofero we love bob! He is an amazing pilot, a great resource and an even better friend ! We try to incorporate him whenever possible bc of this! Thanks so much for your feedback my friend!
We just flew our maiden flite of the Simple Cub my son and I built at Flite Fest Texas. Our first build and my first time flying RC in 25 years. She's an absolute peach. Thanks Josh for the help and advice. We love our Cub!
Nice to see you back. Of all the diversity our sport has to offer, I appreciate it when you return to your roots - this is "Flite Test" for me. Thank you.
*VERY TRUE!!!* FliteTest to me, are Simple Rugged Aircraft that nearly ANYONE can Fly... That's also incredibly AFFORDABLE!!! 👍👍👏👏👏👏 For Disabled Veterans like myself, this is the ONLY way I'm able to Fly! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart Gentlemen! Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Just bought this kit the other day with shipping to the UK! Found this video tonight. Bought the B power pack with it too. Maybe should of got a bigger pack but hey. Screw it! Cant wait to build and fly it. Only RC flight so far was a "trainer" plastic fuselage I bought many years ago that badly compressed the fuselage trying to take off. Then a cheap £60 park trainer made of foam that I've bought recently. thankfully with a gyro. Cant wait to build and try to fly!
We need more general aviation planes!! A Piper Cherokee or Tomahawk would be great! We really need that X-29 too. And you guys should go for the worlds largest foamie! Everyone that has subscribed and more would love that!! Happy flying!
"Now we've got two clipped wing Cubs!" LOL Looks like a winner, nice work as always guys! I really need to find a flying group, flying solo is only so much fun...
Hey nick! Go ahead and check out FT groups! Might be an option for you there... AND YES i agree, flying w one is def NOT as fun as it is with 2 or more!! Blessings my friend!
I think you should have put the clip in where TJ says, "We're gonna need some rubber bands!!" I still would like to hear that in slow-mo. Great video, guys. God Bless.
I'm almost done with a Super Cub that Josh had redesigned some while ago, made it for some as3x guts that came out of a mig 15 lol..Now i'm looking forwards to build this one as well and i will downsize it to 500mm. Thank you, FliteTest for these great projects which i enjoy very much!
My first plane was the HobbyZone Sport Cub S. I've always loved it and I've learned to fly with it. The only problem was that everytime someone sneezed, the plane got blown out by the wind. Now that you guys have made a "heavy" Cub, I'll go back to my first love :) ... You guys are wonderful!
Just got the kit in the mail today. Looking forward to building and trying it out. My second build and hopefully a good trainer style plane for me to fly while my apprentice battery is recharging at the field.
I would LOVE to see you put out a Cessna 337 Super Skymaster. I have no idea how difficult or easy it might be to fly something like that but they sure look amazing.
Thanks for the kind words R L! These are MADE to fly with friends and family...thats their natural habitat! ;) Alex does a FANTASTIC job and we are blessed to have him! ;)
As someone who is starting to get into FPV quads, I'd like to build up a cheap little fixed wing to fly around a bit. Which build would you recommend? Scratch builds are okay (and ideal).
I see you guys flying and filming with mini quads all the time but how do you set up the quad so you dont get that pesky jello and vibrations?? Video plz. I know theres lots of videos out there but they all pretty mutch advise different things. Tuning, softmount, balancing and so on. Keep up the good work.
The Super Cub is the plane I learned on, even though I built a Taylorcraft 450 and 60 size P40 Warhawk first. I lost it in a tree, and when it fell out someone took it, so I replaced it with the Sport Cub. I bought another one for either my wife or grandson to learn on, they're great RTF airplanes.
Keith Lucas, I always put how to return it on the plane somewhere so that if it does get stuck in a tree and it comes down people know who to give it back to. Sad to hear that happened to you.
We are NEVER against UPSIZING or DOWNSIZING! ha We love to see what our community dreams and creates... let us know what you end up doing and SHOW us! ;)
dear flite test, i dont know if you usually listen to comments or not, but i was wondering if you could review the dynam grand cruiser. ive heard that its a great plane and i think it would be really cool to see this in the show. i hope you consider
i just got into planes. I got me a parkzone super cub s2 and i love this thing. i been flying drones for about a year and this was a great change! what motor and esc can i use to upgrade my super cub. i need more speed! i want to go to 4s. at least. Thanks and love your content!
Keep on expanding your hangar cody! You will love all the new models and versions! Hope there are many successful flights in your future my friend in both QUADS and PLANES! ;)
FliteTest any recommendations on upgrading my parkzone sport cub to 4s and a bigger motor? or will the stock motor handle the 4s? can't find much info on the stock motor.
I wanted to see the damage on the army cub, frame by frame showed me that it had a major breach on the left side but am still wondering if the tail is intact :o
now I have a question, I plan on getting one of these kits. mainly because the Piper was featured prominently in one of my favorite films. HOWEVER that version had floats. my question is, how well do the floats work as skids? because I hope to replicate the plane from the film, but don't live near a body of water. I know this is a little out of the box but it was my first thought the moment I saw you guys had a cub speed build. if they don't work as skids right away what are some things I could do to replicate the float look while still doing grass landings?
I fly a quad but was wanting to fly a plane too, I bought the trainer but screwed it up somehow so is this an easier build, I messed up by doing wrong folds and I think the horizontal stabilizer is angled cause it beats off to the left and then nose dives, I'll make sure to pay attention if I do get another one, so is this a good first place and build? Is it easy?
So tell me, if i get the starter kit does it come with 3 axis control? Aileron rudder and elevator? I want it so bad but i wonder what will i really get if i buy it . . . I can build pretty much anything but i am not good at all with electronics...
So how does this compare to the simple storch? From the looks of it I'm guessing the storch is a bit bigger and thus might be more docile? The advantage of this though is that I already have the b-pack so no new electronics :)
where can I get the plans so i can print and cut my own parts from scratch to build this or the modified cub? I'm trying to build a plan for my dad as he used to be into rc planes and helicopters but had to give up his equipment after I was born and has never managed to get back into and now he has cancer he cannot afford. I already have some transmitters and reciever as well has several servos that I've managed to gather just struggling to find plane plans
Make one of those "ground attack" and equip it with those bombs and streamers. Than see if the others with "fighters" can eliminate it before it delivers it's load.
Please include Bob in your flight reviews. Being over 60 myself, I would enjoy his perspective

The one thing I've noticed a lot of is COMPLIMENTS!! You guys seem like great friends. It's great to see you all flying together!
Gotta love the stability of the Cub's! Lost transmitter power once with my sportcub and it just glided in from 200ft for a nice landing.
could you please build a Cessna 172/ 182 with a huge wingspan or just a simple one with about one Meter wingspan?
Would be soooooo cool
Plus one on this. Even a little bigger wouldn't hurt.
Jose Valentin they just fly so smooth with a big wingspan and looks so awesome
half scale lol
Be on the lookout for something in that category SOON! ;)
Thanks for watching guys!
Robin Hood Yessssss genius idea, imagine like a a foamie or cardboard half-scale!
That plane landed without any control and batteries? My god, that was awesome! ^^
RIGHT?! I was telling josh... THATS a mark of a GOOD FLYING airplane! ;)
WHICH JOSH
lol:)
@@nacly4654 There was only ONE Josh there lol....
You should WATCH the Video.
"Every plane we build, we put out free plans for."
Yeah. Imma need those jet plans from the last video.
It's every plane they sell

Planning on buying one of these to teach my son to fly.
Group flying is way more fun than solo stuff sometimes!
Looks just like my BJ-J3 design on the FT articles and forums. Very excited you guys did a cub!
My first plane was the HobbyZone Sport Cub S. I've always loved it and I've learned to fly with it. The only problem was that everytime someone sneezed, the plane got blown out by the wind. Now that you guys have made a "heavy" Cub, I'll go back to my first love :) ... You guys are wonderful!

those streamer flights are beautiful Definatly going to try it
A Mighty Mini Simple Cub would be the ticket.
I love episodes with Bob and streamers. This had both! The second time Alex hit the blue streamers he made confetti!
Its good to know that if you Brown out with the Simple Cub it will just fly back to the run way.
HAHA! right?! Fantastic! EXACTLY how we planned it... ;)
Wrong
Finaly a cub scratch built. I have ben waiting a long time on this. Flite Test you are the best of the best, just go on with good work👌👍
that quad for filming with the green props looks like it is glowing green
I would LOVE to see you put out a Cessna 337 Super Skymaster. I have no idea how difficult or easy it might be to fly something like that but they sure look amazing.
Oh, the Super Cub LP, my first plane. Now I want a Simple Cub.
this is the first release in a long time that I have been genuinely excited for :) I can't wait to build one!!!
I definitely will be looking into buying one in the near future
awesome plane, could use a stiffener where the rubber bands contact the rear of the wing. as always great job ft guys
NICE! Watching so many planes in the air at once made for an enjoyable video! Good show! Nice tracking, Alex!
Thanks for the kind words R L! These are MADE to fly with friends and family...thats their natural habitat! ;)
Alex does a FANTASTIC job and we are blessed to have him! ;)
Nice Steven hawking quote TJ
lol alex went HAM with the quad
That was so awesome!! Please do a lets fly with fpv, streamers and simple cubs
im learning with a umx j3 cub and really enjoying . Very keen to get another cub now. Rate this episode! !
As someone who is starting to get into FPV quads, I'd like to build up a cheap little fixed wing to fly around a bit. Which build would you recommend? Scratch builds are okay (and ideal).
This one actually looks nice to learn on.
i am from MEXICO .i like yours videos

I know theres lots of videos out there but they all pretty mutch advise different things. Tuning, softmount, balancing and so on. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for a good beginner plane that looks good it is what I have been wanting to move from my ft flyer.
Fun episode guys for a looking plane too!
Thank for the video guys! Love the Cub!
I've been so pumped for this plane!!
The Super Cub LP is discontinued, you should change the link to the Super Cub S which Horizon still makes with SAFE.
The Super Cub is the plane I learned on, even though I built a Taylorcraft 450 and 60 size P40 Warhawk first. I lost it in a tree, and when it fell out someone took it, so I replaced it with the Sport Cub. I bought another one for either my wife or grandson to learn on, they're great RTF airplanes.

long time over due on this one. very greatful it's finally here.
Cool plane!
At 7:03 it looks like you're using Mercury Adhesive's M300M Medium CA. Love to talk to you about it....
that looks soooooo fun I would love to do that with you guys
Nice t-shirt Andres!
I challenge you to make this plane go 90mph ! I want to see this chubby tubby hauling it's tubs across the sky.
Looked like you guys was having a little fun Low and Slow style. Hey what do you think about super sizing the Tubby Cubby.
We are NEVER against UPSIZING or DOWNSIZING! ha We love to see what our community dreams and creates... let us know what you end up doing and SHOW us! ;)
that plane has a lot of power
Whoever was flying the blue and white cub should give stunt planes a shot.
hope there's a lazer cut kit at flight fest. i love this one.
They are going to do a group build on this, of course there's going to be kits :-)
Would you mind reviewing the Freewing F-16 70mm V2 EDF. I've had my eyes on it but I would like to hear how it handles and you might have some fun.
Nice flying plane! Big Thumbs Up! Happy Flying ;-)
Still waiting for the FT Shinden. On a side note, I wonder how hard it would be to rig up an FPV bomb sight to this thing.
My .02 - Add vortex generators to the outer third of the wing. It really let's you learn to pitch up to land slow without the nasty tip stall.
can you review the fly sky i6
Tom Dallimore I would love to see that
Superior Mango yeah I love that radio
Tom Dallimore fly sky i6 is pretty good the gimbals are pretty crisp
Rahul S and it's one of the cheapest radios I have ever seen other than the fs t6 which is good too other than the fact it doesn't work with ppm
Tom Dallimore it has a good range and a few mods to the antenna u can get 5km range (2.4miles)
good job guys
i cannot wait to get one of these.
You guys are Awesome, could you build an RC DH 98 Moskito?
Awesome, gonna build it!
Hey can you review and fly
antonov 225
I AM Ricky I think their field is a liiiiidle liiidle bit too small ;p

THERE'S A SIX EDF, enormous Foam Core Board Speed Build Aircraft??? 😳😳😎

wow great one!
hey are you guys going to be at EAA this year???
So excited about this one, but would a 3S 2200mAh be too large/heavy for this one? What if we increase wing area a little?
Hi FT team!
How many time can you make it fly?
Greetings from France!👍
Beautiful!!
Hey what would you recommend to paint one? I haven't seen anything in any of your video about painting
I wanted to see the damage on the army cub, frame by frame showed me that it had a major breach on the left side but am still wondering if the tail is intact :o
Maybe there are photos on the forum!

Could you guys make a cf-105 (a.v roe arrow)
When are you making this for pheonix?
Great vid !!
TJ's shirt... Intelligence it the ability to adapt to change.
Have you guys ever tried takeing a rc car and makeing extractable wings in it with a rocket type motor? and get it to fly? or a drone type car
Bomb streamers would be awesome with quads!
BTW Are there different wing builds for this plane I notice each one you guys are flying the wings look different??
So how does this compare to the simple storch? From the looks of it I'm guessing the storch is a bit bigger and thus might be more docile? The advantage of this though is that I already have the b-pack so no new electronics :)
It is a very easy flyer like the Storch but a significantly easier build.
When are the build plans coming out!!
love the "TUBBY CUBBY"

This looks so exciting , I am a Disabled Veteran
where can I get the plans so i can print and cut my own parts from scratch to build this or the modified cub? AWESOME, love this channel, can't wait to see some bomb drops with these!
Make one of those "ground attack" and equip it with those bombs and streamers. Than see if the others with "fighters" can eliminate it before it delivers it's load.
do you need to buy a separate receiver to use?
Does this kit include a transmitter
Build a edf Lear jet! That would be awesome
very nice
i just got the apprentice 15e safe
Nice! Thats a great plane!
would this be a good first plane?
Is the ft sparrow a good beginner plane
It will always be the tubby cubby to me
If I buy the cheapest option for this plane, would it include the electronics with it or is it sold by itself?
hi, I would like to know if an A2212 2200KV Motor work on a simple torch?
plz tell me which material do u use for making body
You guys going to Oshkosh again this year?
in some capacity! unsure of what exactly yet! ;)
Well i'll see you then.. in whatever capacity. lol.
