5:35 I don't understand what was Syrup's though process here. At some point you have to try to airdodge or to drift to the edge of the stage. He got hit by like six up airs without reacting.
He gave up bc he had no iron, Steve disadvantage is really weak without it. No iron, no jump, really bad air stats vs the best cloud in the world is just a ggs no matter what
@eyeris4050 that's insane. I def just gave up. But steve could place block, airdodge, up b, hell down b if you're feeling saucy. He just gave in and let it happen to end the game. But we not gonna act like he didn't have options.
@@plastickkerorolm4889in theory he had options yes but he’s fighting Spargo and he wasn’t letting that game go…so I think the thought process was Why waste that kind of mental power/stamina on a game that would be nearly impossible to win and decided to end it, suicide by up air.
@rhysjones1108 it def seemed like syrup gave up on steve. Which W to spargo for making a steve player think steve was the problem. (I'm aware of syrup being a prominent Ness player before he was a steve player.) But most people take those last moments to download info and everything. Which may be why he stopped trying with steve? Because he gave up on steve so a download on how to adjust with steve would be worthless. Sad to see him not atleast try to play it out.
When I saw Spargo was fighting Steve I thought his fandom would come and comment about how broken Steve is and why Spargo isn’t washed after losing, but then I recall Spargo is just simply the most consistent Mexican player ever and forgot it.
Typical behavior from someone who uses steve, quit, give up. The exact beta type of mentality from this age group, whine cry and throw tantrum when I don’t get my way. Glad he lost.
You can see that syrup and spargo are both smiling and having a good time and when syrup lost he had respect and went for the first bump with no salt. You on the other hand sound like a loser
my guy, you can literally see Syrup smiling and laughing after getting obliterated game 2. He was originally a Ness main and started playing Steve recently. you can see it in his face, he tried Steve, it didnt work, he realized it was a stupid idea here, then went back to the character he has more experience with. thats it.
Spargo, the only player in the world who makes Steve mains switch to another character.
Sonix
Wasn't Syrup a ness main to begin with?
@@Knivess0 Yes he was. Now he's riding the Steve train
@@MidianVGC Yeah, shame.
@@pdeperrisima9856Acola continues Steve
You are wrong
You can see at 5:45 he's trying to hold back a smile
Geez, Sparg0 didn’t even let him play during game 2
Game 2 is the most non-competitive match you will ever see in a Winners SF bracket
wrong; Sparg0 3-stocked Hurt at Supernova a few weeks ago lol
Snow/Maister at Japan West 24 was an 8-stock. That was Losers Quarters but the idea is the same.
It’s wild that no other top player has been brave enough to pick up cloud for Steve

He couldnt place a block this high, airdodging means a frametrap, up b can go to the ledge from here and tnt ...@@plastickkerorolm4889
Wow spargoat is looking sharp!
Steve and Ness getting shit on in the same set? Delicious. Well done, Spargo.
if only syrup started ness game 1... this set couldve been really hype

Steve cant save a player like Syrup

wth lmao its not that serious
Jesus, comments like this is some of many reasons why the smash community sucks, just picking on someone just because of the character they pick 🤦🏾♂️
