Years ago, my oldest son had a class that calculated the laws across the world. The United States has more laws than every other country combined. We have city laws, county laws, state laws and federal laws. We have laws that contradict laws, state laws that vary by state, city and county laws that contradict state laws, state laws that contradict federal laws. Law upon law upon law. And it is absolutely ridiculous.
That states differe is actually a good thing because you have choice then and don't have to leave the country. But there are too many laws and directives (bureaucacy). These guys need a reason for their existence. A 100 years ago the media wasn't scrutinizing them so much, so less laws for more freedom.
Lawyers and courts ruined our country.
