It's been an absolute TREAT watching them evolve over the years. I've kinda gotten used to the "New Album, New sound" thing they got going on. It definitely sets them apart from other artists. Their whole catalog is just... perfection. They literally have a song for any mood you are in. It's beautiful! Thanks for doing this reaction! Really hope to see more done with AM's music. Take care!
If they always did the same thing the would end up irrelevant! I love watching them evolve but I'm also glad they still play the heavier stuff live too.
If you haven't heard Alex Turner's other group The Last Shadow Puppets, then you'll see the man is definitely not afraid of some strings and orchestral music!
i also enjoyed the live version more, particularly the vocals, I wonder why they chose to do the studio version the way they did, since thats what most people will stumble upon first
I think they are going for a whole vibe on their album. I agree that the live version sounds way better but with these guys.. it's almost expected. They absolutely slay live performances. This song in particular gets me excited for their album dropping on the 21st! 😍 Take care
I prefer the studio version even though the live version sound besser. It is the compactness and the sorrow is translated better in the dryer version. It reminds me of Roxy Music far more than the Beatles
So glad you mentioned the beatles reference! That was my thought exactly on the middle section orchestra drop. Def a Penny Lane/ a day in the life throwback
I noticed he’s worked a lot on his technical singing, you can notice on the Es and As how he’s keeping his mouth more puckered up as taught in singing classes
Please, please, please react to Marc Martel performing Nessun Dorma as both Pavarotti AND Freddie Mercury (search for Marc Martel Mercurotti). It is one of the most magnificent things you will ever hear!
Please react more to Diana Ankudinova! Revelation (mood video, 2022) This song was the first completely original song by Diana Ankudinova, she herself wrote the words and composed the music. All the reactors are once again in shock, but now not only from Diana's voice, but also from a talent that can create not cheap music for once, but hits for all time. In the song, Diana reveals her beautiful voice in the upper register.
Let me guess. Cringe gatekeeper to anyone who doesn't scream everywhere all the time that they love their entire discography including b-sides and covers and the last shadow puppets' one too?

@@HofTheStage Totally agree with you! 🥰
Finally someone who gets me
Alex must be one of the best live performer of all time, such an incredible singer
Beatles was the first thought that came into my head the minute I heard those strings in Bodypaint, “She’s Leaving Home” comes to mind!
same
I would say it's closer to 70' David Bowie but The Beatles is also a good reference!
If you haven't heard Alex Turner's other group The Last Shadow Puppets, then you'll see the man is definitely not afraid of some strings and orchestral music!
So true, i Love both of his bands, I think Miles Kane does quite a lot of the singing in the last shadow puppets doesn’t he ?
Great bass playing. Such creativeness.
The live version of this song sooo amazing! And I'm so glad there are versions without "sunglasses indoor" now in TH-cam 😊
i also enjoyed the live version more, particularly the vocals, I wonder why they chose to do the studio version the way they did, since thats what most people will stumble upon first
Me too. Its the same feeling i get when i listen to tbhc (the song) . Its much more better live.
I feel Alex's just more in the mood live, in front of an audience so that brings out the best of him.

@Metalllians86 do you have a particular live version of the song you like best? I'd like to search one up and i'm curious to see your preference
Really wasn’t a huge fan of it at first. But starting to love it already
Absolutely incredible musicianship

No. 1 Comment Anthem
Ele foi de Beatles com John Lennon cantando para David Bowie muito rápido. Incrível!

Great video, I'd love to see you reacting to other Monkeys' songs

Agreed!

Love to see a comparison, the live version is way waaaay better. I kind of dislike the studio version
Please react more to Diana Ankudinova!

Let me guess. Been a fan since 2014?
Nah man, ever since I've first heard The view from the afternoon. I've been a fan since their first studio album
Let me guess. Cringe gatekeeper to anyone who doesn't scream everywhere all the time that they love their entire discography including b-sides and covers and the last shadow puppets' one too?
No one cares how long you've listened to an artists music, people discover bands at different times, what's the problem?
@@abstergo06 let me guess. Bullied at school was you?
