I just bought this bag and truly love it. I saw it when it first was released and waited and waited to buy because I wanted to be sure I wanted it. Now I wish I had not waited lol. I love the slouchy look but also I love my organizer that makes the bag look more like a structured trunk which I truly love. So thrilled with it and glad I bought it
I am a structured bag girl but I love this one and it totally needs to be worn more slouchy IMO. I am also taller so the idea of the strap length is also very appealing 🤎
This is really a beautiful bag. I've been considering the Petite Malle, but it is just so small. To be able to carry sunglasses and readers along with all the other essentials is awesome.

I agree, busted up will look awesome! I guess I feel that way because it’s a trunk, and when I think of a LV trunk, I envision the ones that have traveled all over world and then retire to become a coffee table. lol! But all the marks and scratches tell it’s story and hold it’s history and that’s is really super cool!
I’m definitely not a fan of LV bags (love the shoes) but I adore this bag! I also adore it in the other versions with black detailing etc. Seems it’s a ‘daily bag’ option being roomy, soft and light to carry. Divine and very edgy all at once. Did they design this especially for you Dayle? Seems so!
Dayle I lucked out and picked up one of the trunks after watching your video. I love trunks and this is no exception. I did go with the rectoverso to fit as a small wallet and it’s perfect. I’m not rushing out of this gal! I had just purchased the older white Gucci monogram trunk and that is ti die for imo but this a y I’d equally loved! It’s like a piece of LV history on my shoulder!
If I had this bag I would encourage the slouch too!!!! I try and slouch my puzzle bag more in the middle! I don’t like it when it looks too much like a box shape! This is such a cool bag Dayle!
Thanks to you Dayle, I'm now the proud owner of the Side Trunk. I have fallen head over heels in love with this bag. It is definitely a contender in my top 3 favorites. Thank you for show casing this bag. If I could improve anything, I would like to make the crossbody strap a little softer. My strap is very stiff. Perhaps with repeated wear it will lose some of that stiffness. Your video is fantastic. However, seeing this bag in person is even better. My heart thanks you for this recommendation.

I wasn’t sure about this one for the past few months , but today my hubby asked me what I wanted for our upcoming 10 year anniversary , if there were any bags I’ve been eyeing or wanting and I mentioned this one ,he saw it and he absolutely loved it and went and purchased it for me . However they did tell him due to this particular bag being in high demand it won’t ship for 7-10 days . I don’t care about waiting at all , the detail on this bag is so stunning . I expected it to be a lot higher of a price tag than $3800 plus tax US . Thank you for your review of it , I can’t wait to have it in my hands . Such a beautiful bag ❤️🥰
I love it! I was wondering about two things, does it go with your brightly patterned clothes, in my mind I wouldn’t think patterned bags would look so good with patterned clothes and can you scotch guard the leather parts? Oh and I love patina on a bag, it gives it a personality. ❤❤❤
I was thinking of a Chanel boy bag but now find myself thinking this side trunk in the MM would be much better. I’m 5’8” and prefer to crossbody my bags and think the boy bag would be too short on me. I also thought the p m version was cute but perhaps too small 😅. I need help 😂😂😂
The slouch looks great however I can imagine the canvas cracking right in the middle where it slouch’s. I can see why a bag organiser would help protect the canvas over time.

Hot tip - buying this bag online will most probably insure that you don’t get a floor piece and it’s pristine. I’ve had friends get store transfers and the condition is not as good as the online store.

Love this bag and looks great on you. The video might be better when filming the bag as the main object. The camera angle was too close and high up, hence the bag was filmed in and out of the sight half the time. Just a thought. Love your input and bag choices!

I’m always of two minds when it comes to LV. I’m obsessed with their trunks and hardware but hard to stomach $5.5k for canvas too.. though having said that the small Dior book totes are same price now 😅 I love this bag on you, the mod shots are really helpful too. I love the option of the top handle as well.
Watching this video while holding my Side Trunk. I'm glad it only has one D ring because for me I will never have both straps on at the same time. Also, I (oops) got caught in the rain with it last weekend (running from the door to a car) and there are no water marks. Thanks for mentioning me. :)

In my opinion Monogram is the perfect complement to print - I think block colours are higher contrast!

Canvas is made to move though, I think it will be fine, it feels really supple.
