I'm a noob and I finish in the top 7 almost every solo game I play.
I stay on the bus until it kicks me off.
I deploy glider immediately and wait for the storm circle to appear. By this time, 50-60 people have been eliminated.
I land on the outer edge of the circle and close to the edge of the island.
I harvest and find some guns, then kind of hide or hunt.
Towards the end of the game, I have my pick of weapons.

@@ricedick4593 Yeah man just stay at a range where it wont do much damage, it's only from very close range it's good. And they only have two shots before they have to reload and the reload is so slow. It's actually quite balanced.
Double barrel is like double shotgun, you get killed by it only if you make a mistake.
Double shotgun was more fair though, because it used 2 spaces and was more reliable.

Ola conny Lol you want the double barrel out? Why because it’s too overpowered? You have to be in their face in order for it to do damage, slow ass reload time, and if you get that close to someone with any shotgun it should do that damage lol. It’s more balanced than any smg in the game.
naw shotguns should not be meta. they are for early game and have no business in mid to late game. just remove all except gray tac and green tac then the game is balanced. you should be able to win a game with grey weapons. green/blue/purple/gold were supposed to be slight variations doing minor 1 extra damage. not a full on new gun mechanic. it makes the game heavy rng based when common weapons aren't enough to win
