I was lucky enough to join a group of amazing metal detectorists at the Suffolk sandlands detecting holiday which featured both detectorists from the UK & the USA.
The weather held for us, and the discoveries were absolutely amazing with finds spanning 4,000 years or more, I managed to detect alongside some brilliant detectorists who were very determined to uncover history on the farmland we were searching, please enjoy this amazing experience with me.
Great to see such amazing finds
Thanks for watching dave, much appreciated 👏

Was great to detect with you again Graeme, been too long Sir, hopefully we'll do more here at Suffolk Sandlands in the Spring.
You absolutely smashed it john, blessed to be alongside you and andy, see you again soon mate
It was great detecting with you and hanging out. Found several bucket listers while there, including that Neolithic point you should in your video. I really appreciate the help with identifying items I found, including the denarius (which variant again?). Would love to detect with you again. Videos are coming soon.
You did extremely well ken, the denarius was caracalla!!
What an absolutely fantastic dig , Well done everyone

Wow what finds . Wouldn’t mind a few days holidays there. The arrow head looks like flint from Grimes Graves, stunning

@@unearthed-detecting-tv superb information as always and great to see like minded history hunters as opposed to “how much is it worth’ treasure hunters

Graham, the item at 14:16 is a Romanstylus. The pointed end for inscribing on a wax tablet and the flat end for smoothing (erasing) lovely finds, looks like it was a great few days.
