You are one of the reasons that gave me the final push to go for my A2 license here in Spain, missing only the final street driving exam, and I'm quite sure with this new channel you will give the final push to get back to my camera that I parked aside couple of year ago. Thank you for bringing this content, looking forward to the next videos!!!
Great new channel! I too am a film photographer from way back when, and just never enjoyed digital cameras until I bought a Leica M (240). It took me back to the purity of the photographic process, and a big bonus was all my vintage Leica lenses still work beautifully!
I made exactly the same decision, based on exactly the same reasons. Given how many M11s are up for sale and how few M10Rs, it seems we're not alone. Absolutely superb camera - given my photography a new lease of life after moving from big lens Nikon. It's only taken YT's algo 9months+ to alert a motorcycling photographer and liker of your bike channel that you've got a Leica/photography one, but glad it got there in the end! The Royal Enfield of algos?! Good luck with the move, but Spanish weather's no good for bikes and pics ;-)
Earlier this year, I purchased a black chrome M10-R for a good price. After painting the red Leica logo on the M10R in matte black, I am not envious of the newly released M11-P. Moreover, I am very satisfied with the kamera kraft grip. The unengraved state on the top of the M10-R body allows you to focus more on your work. The reason I still maintain the M10-R is the same as yours. I support your thoughts.
As an amateur and only occasional photographer I have subscribed to your new channel because of my curiosity about the Leica brand cameras. My camera collection is an assortment of Pentax, Nikon and Chinon film cameras but I honestly don't use film at all now. Instead, I use cheap and cheerful point and shoot digital cameras, all of which I have bought in thrift stores (charity shops), typically for less than $10 each. It's amazing how pleased I can be with many of the pictures I take. I know that is on a different planet to the one you inhabit as a pro. But nevertheless I thought you might be interested to know that your subscribers may be from a wide base of interest.
Nothing better than an M and a small lens. I rarely leave the house without my M P typ 240 (or M6 if I can be arsed to shoot film nowadays) and a 35mm Summarit or 50mm Summicron. good luck with the channel!
I really enjoy your motorcycle videos. I also really like photography and hope to see much more of this type of content here at this channel. Thank you
I, too, have an M10-R, and I love it. If you plan to shoot "wide open," i.e. at f/1.4 or so, I recommend getting Leica's Visoflex Typ 020. The Visoflex makes accurate focusing very easy.
Looking forward to the channel. Leica and voitlander, wow…currently using an Olympus E-OMD1 and lenses, compact and great for motorcycle touring. Hopefully a great forum for bikers/photographers!
I got both the m10r and the m10 monochrome. The r is for my landscape and travel, and the m is for street and infrared photography. I also got the Voightlander Nokton 75 and Nokton 35. I enjoy and love my setup and I’m sure you are going to love yours as well.
Glad to hear you have one of the beautiful Voigtlander 75/1.5 lens. It is absolutely a wonderful lens with very good micro contrast. The only draw back is I came across 4 out of 4 pieces with back focusing issue by 1-2 inches . But I adjusted it back to normal and even help my friends to calibrate them accurately. Although I have many pieces of Leica lenses, I still like to use some Voigtlander lenses, they are amazingly good in pictures quality and well built. I use them on my M10-P and M10 Monochrom. I don’t mind the resolution of the M10-P is just only 24MP, but it is good for me to do some night street shots with good image quality even at ISO 3200. Looking forward to see more review from you.

Nice to see your new channel. I had no idea who you are but enjoyed your approach. I still shoot an M Type 262 and if I were to upgrade I'd go to the M10P rather that the M11 or the M10R. 24mp are about as large of files as I care to mess with, but then I am a hobbyist, not a pro. I also ride a 1996 Harley Davidson soft tail. I used to drag race motorcycles but that was a few years back. Thanks for a refreshing video on photography and Leica's. BTW, the Voigtlander 75mm f/1.5 Nokton is an outstanding lens. I also adore the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.2 Nokton. One of the best of all the Nokton's wide open.
I’ve been following your content on RE bikes and just found out about this channel. Loved it brother. I’ve been wanting a dslr for 40 years and recently my boys got me a small Sony mirrorless for Father’s Day. I’m going bananas visiting parks experimenting and shooting away like a madman 😂. As an old timer myself, I also tend to prefer the more manual and less software based aspects of the camera. You got a new subscriber buddy!
The voitlander lenses for Leica M have improved a lot in terms of their build quality since I first bought my 40 single coated for my M3 some 30 years ago. I`ve recently bought a 35 ,50f1 and 75 BP. Still have two film M`s but use the SL2s and digital CL these days. Started looking at the digital M`s recently hence the interest in your vid. I too went the Sony route for a few years. Fabulously capable cameras and I do miss the Sony AF capability especially when you compare it to that of the SL2S (which is poor) , but in other respects not for me.
I decided to get an M11 rather than a M10R. I don’t use it any differently (no in camera charging or greater use of the app and standard transfer of images from SD card to computer). What attracted me though was the battery life and lack of baseplate. I originally got a 50mm Leica lens but decided to try a 35mm lens and went for the Voigtländer 35mm Nokton 35mm f1.5. I was going to get the Color Skopar but found it hard to use it’s so small.
Interesting reasoning. I went through a similar thought process. I bought a used, black M10 and decided against the 40MP, as the M10 yet again outdoes the M10R for low light applications. And 24MP is plenty enough for me, it's actually the sweet spot.
As a photographer that likes bikes and have subscribed to your previous channel. This is a good combination! Haha 😂 lovely camera. Just sold my typ240 to fund my landrover 😢
Great choice! I’m using Leica SL2 and SL2-S for my professional fashion and beauty work. But for personal work it is mostly the M7 and M10-R. I love the M10-R and its quirks. You’re absolutely right about 40MP being more than enough. The only reason for the M11 in my view (apart from the battery life) is the better live view and light metering, but once you’re used to the M10-R you can achieve the same results. It’s definitely more traditional M. The nice side effect of the M11 and M11 Monochrome is that there’s now a steady stream of pre-owned M10s, M10-Rs and M10-Ms at reasonable prices. For now I won’t upgrade.
Leica Ms and the R18, both products that slow us down in life a little bit. M10-P (24MP) is enough for me. However, will look into the new M11 Monochrom now. Good luck with your new channel. I signed up and look forward to some interesting content in the future.
Very interesting video. I wanted the M10R too instead of my trusty M240, but left the Leica Store in Berlin with a brand new M-P240, which was hiding on the shelf for some years, because it's silver. The camera meets all my needs as a press photographer and is my EDC. I had a number of Voigtländer lenses from 21 to 75 mm, but I sold them again and got the Leica M lenses. The 240s are faster in handling than the M10R and the battery last almost for 'ever'. Keep on rolling!
Nice! Back in the 80's I had a Leica M3 SS and a couple lenses. Tri-x film shot at 200 and underdeveloped in Rodinal and then printed using a cold light head from Zone VI. That combination was my fav. Now I use a Sony RX100 III with the Zeiss Vario-Sonnar, mainly for it's small size. Keep up the good work and cheers from Montana.
Just like you, I had no pleasure with a A7III (A7RIII actually). Currently I shoot M262 and recently I bought a "Mint" used M10 monochrome. I shoot mainly with a Lux 50, sometimes with an Elmarit 28, occasionally with a 90 F2.4. For me, using a M is not to increase any performance. Manual settings has a calming effect on me, the noise of the shutter is a sweet melody, the ergonomics are friendly, and all together, each photo session gives me the joy of a child in an entertainment park. I don't need more to be happy.
I can totally feel your decisions. Actually I found almost the same solution for me with the A7r IV as a workhorse and an M6 for the pure fun of photography. Even the Color Skopar sits on my M6 haha
Liked! I understand. I, too, am struggling whether to add one of the very final few new M10-R cameras that remain available. Most likely, if I acquire a 40MP M camera, it will be pre-owned, and may well be a Monochrom. (I can shoot high-resolution color, with my D850, with my Nikkor AF-S 28mm f/1.4E, a gem of a lens, the quite capable Micro-Nikkor 60/2.8G, and a wonderful 85mm Zeiss Otus. My wife is a dedicated Nikon shooter, so, we are not going to quit Nikon.) Last year, I upgraded M lenses, rather than acquire a new M10 Monochrom, and may yet decide to keep using my 24MP “team” of M Type 246 Monochrom and plain ol’ M10 cameras. Notably, except for starting with a new M10, every Leica-brand camera, Leica-brand lens, and Leica-brand flash that I have, was acquired pre-owned.
I just got an M10 but no 35mm on mine though. I'm using a 50 1.2 Nokton. I noticed the Sony e-mount version of the Nokton 50 is a little better optically at 1.2 than the M-mount Nokton. 1.2 is pretty soft with my M mount Nokton, but 1.4 is very useable.
I should have known... I watched all this wonderfully framed footage of yours and I thought: the man is a natural. He really knows how to capture it. How foolish of me. I'm not saying you are not a natural, but you get my drift... alright, subscribed.
I shoot the M11 and I love it! You might take a look at the 40mm 1.2 Nocton. It’s really great for street. I use my 50 Lux too but for street I lean towards the 40. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with the 75 because I have the 90 APO and it’s spectacular but not an everyday carry.
Beautiful M10-R, I went for the M10-D but I always wonder how it compared to the M10-R (color wise). I really get it, M are simple and freeing to use. Great video btw, best of luck!
Great choice. I own the M11 and I wish at times they would’ve made this camera with less MP for better low light performance. Tempted to try an M10 R or even an M264
.... bought the M10. Congrats. Personally I don't get buying dated tech when the latest and greatest is available. As far as noise goes, the M11P is pretty damn good. The image quality I'm getting from mine paired with some nice Leica glass is just brilliant. The files from the 28 Summilux foe example, my favourite from Leica, are the best I've ever seen in a camera I've owned. And over 40 years, quite a few as a pro, I've had plenty!!! I do agree with your thoughts on modern cameras. I dislike them.. I was happy up until my last decent Canon, the 1DSII. That was basic and made sense. I recently bought a new Nikon and had to go online in order to find out how to change basic settings. The menu is ridiculously optioned. Coming from the days of shooting film on a Hasselblad with not even a meter...That's where my comfort zone is. I don't need all that extra crap.
Ditto, ditto and ditto…love my silver M10-R with my Voigtlander glass….got the body new from HK for 60% of the original retail price and even a greater savings over the M11.
I have the M11 and had the M10R. If I had to do it again, I’d get the R. The freezing issues of the 11 and the annoying delay in shutter opening-closing-opening is quite annoying. Enjoy!
Ah yes, "grain". I remember that 👍😁. Grain was far more aesthetically pleasing than the digital noise of today and had it's place in creating a "look" when desired. A good analogy is analogue vs digital tv. You could still watch an analogue tv with less than perfect reception but the macro blocks of dvb are not at all nice.
I use a Leica M10R for landscapes and really enjoy its simplicity and small size, but cameras aside, I reckon I know you from a Suzuki Jimny channel. I also own a 4th gen Jimny.
I own the M10 R and the M11P. Both are fantastic. For the M11 you dont feel it technologic more than the M10. You can use some features and you dont if you wish. Very flexible is the M11.
It was good to hear your thoughts, which I found very useful. I have mulled over the idea of getting an M11, but I have decided to stick with my M10-P, as 24 Mpx are quite enough for my needs as an amateur, and I'm not sure what an M11 would do to improve my photography. I have it paired with an SL2-S that compliments it nicely with the M to L adaptor and a few L-mount lenses. The SL2-S is a heavy camera, though and I prefer to carry the M unless I must have autofocus. After years of using practically every camera system known to mankind, I have settled on Leica because of the simple menu system and the sheer joy of using them. They are expensive, yes, but less expensive than chopping and changing camera systems trying to find the one that suits best. I've now found that system! Subscribed!
I have a 75mm f/1.2 Leica lens, and it's my favorite lens for street photography. I'm not sure why most of TH-cam's "street photographers" use 28mm or 35mm lenses.
The wider angles are better for using zone focusing, and for capturing an overall scene. Certainly a 75mm is good for picking out a person or detail 👍🏼
@@DarcyOlManExtra , you appear to be a pretty big guy. I don't think you're going to be able to get close enough to people - they'll scream in terror. Scenery, yes, people, no - with the 35mm.
The Leica 75 f2 APO is a great lens. But I recently picked up the Voigtlander 75 f1.9 for $650 on Amazon thinking that the lens was trash and oh boy was I wrong !!!!!! My favorite lens now and super tiny.
I also have both the M10-R and 75mm V. I am not overly impressed by the 75mm V in terms is user experience. The results are quite nice for portraits and the focusing ring is not stable so I don’t really like that much.
I could help slightly, it really depends on what model, and what you want. With the m10's (don't exactly quote me lol) but I believe the black and silver are both brass. with the m11 models, the black and silver are aluminum, and they also have a silver brass option. brass adds more weight and some say it gives a premium feel. I think the people(like myself) love the black paint over brass, due to the bracing/patina you get as the paint wears. This is no longer the case for the m10 and m11, as they chose to use black chrome instead of black paint which does not wear as much as the paint. Besides those difference, the "R" models "P" models, also have differences and could sway your opinion on which works best for you. "R" is usually more resolution, and "P" has "professional" upgrades, like saphire glass, and a better buffer in some cameras. This could also change the color and material options. I would said find the one you think looks the best and then research that model. I recently got into Leica, and I chose the MP 240, because that camera fits me the best. If I got the normal M 240, I would have probably disliked because it was missing those "P" upgrades that I actually wanted. sorry for the long message but in short the m10 color wise shouldn't matter too much, just check for differences in materials for "R" and "P" models.
I really love the Voigtlander lenses: I got their new 28mm f/2.8. I also have the 40mm f/1.4 & the 50mm APO that you should try, its on par with Leica 8000€ APO lens. Thanks, subscribed.
What was the name of that technical TH-cam channel you mentioned? This vid was very informative; my weaknesses are cameras and motorcycles so I hear you! And the options with Menus is too much; especially when working with three different systems plus film on a wedding/event job.
I’ll would love to see more of your images, judging by the few you showed👍 Am I correct in saying Leica are made in Germany…..as is your R18……mmm🤔 Needless to say….subscribed👍

I understand that you can initially save considerable money by not buying Leica/Leitz lenses, but over the last 50 years or so I've learned over and over again (by buying and then not buying and then buying again Leica branded lenses) that there simply are no substitutes for Leica lenses. They are the best there is in every way and are worth every cent relative to other lenses. If I include resale value of Leica lenses I've owned and sold over the years, they have cost me much, much less than any of the other lenses I've owned and sold - many of which were initially much, much cheaper than their Leica branded counterparts. Unless you simply cannot in any way initially access the funds to acquire a Leica lens, there simply is no excuse to buy any lens other than a Leica lens. Of course we all manufacture "reasons" (in quotation marks because they are rationalizations and not rational) for buying alternatively branded lenses - but no doubt somewhere in our hearts and minds we abhor the dishonesty of our actions. On a side note, you having a lot of photographic experience, I think you would really enjoy the M10-D (no screen). It's "only" 24mp but for me, at least, that is the sweet spot of resolution. And you can't beat the simplicity (almost) of it. (Actually, the M-D Typ 262 takes home the trophy in this regard).
They say you can't shoot the fastest lenses - f/0.95 and f/1.2 - "wide open" on a sunny day with the M10-R without ND filters, but I think "they" just haven't tried. With Kodak Portra 160 film, the M10-R's 1/4000 sec maximum shutter speed is often just fast enough - and Kodak Portra 160 is a beautiful, fine-grained film.
@@DarcyOlManExtra , I have two fast lenses, 50mm f/0.95 and 75mm f/1.2, and I did the same thing: bought an ND filter for each one. But when you're walking from sun to shade and back again, an ND filter can be a real nuisance. If you don't use too fast a film, e.g. Kodak Portra 160, you may find that your 1/4000 shutter speed is fast enough.
I love your videos, but even your photos are excellent. I also own the M10 R and use it with Leica lenses but I also have a Voigtländer Nocton. And by the way, I ride an R18
Personally I'd rather ask myself why you went with a Leica M if you want to use Voigtlander lenses at all? You can get them for Sony cameras (like the A7rV) that are in my opinion much better than Leica M camera bodies (image stabilization, autofocus if you want it, shorter shutter speeds, electronic viewfinder with the possibility to zoom in precisely and much more). The only reason to use a Leica M camera is in my opinion to use Leica M glass.
The cost difference between Voigtlander and Leica lenses is a factor, but using the Sony is not an enjoyable experience for me, especially manual focusing, with the viewfinder or screen. The Voigtlander lenses have beautiful character which I look for, and are superb 👍🏼
@@DarcyOlManExtra I understand. Personally I dislike range finder viewfinders because of the parallax issues and not being able to see flare or ghosting. I also cannot zoom in to focus precisely. Also the mechanical coupling of the range finder and its mechanical tolerances makes it impossible to focus precisely with something like a 50mm f1.2 wide open. You simply need an electronic viewfinder for that. But yes, if you're shooting at for example at f2.8 a rangefinder viewfinder may be sufficient.
Looking forward to more content! Love the Leica system but can't afford it - I use the Sony A7riii - an incredibly capable camera but with an incredibly crap menu system!
Leica II, III and a 50cm F2 are $650 what isn’t it that you can’t afford. M2 are $1200, that’s only $100 a month. You are saying you can’t get two people to give you $50 for photo shoots?
Really enjoyed this video and I’m glad TH-cam recommended your channel. I purchased the same camera and it is wonderful. You’ll see it over on my channel. Hope you pop by mate. Also I am looking forward to your new content. Cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪
M10r is a great camera. But why always the comparisons? The M11 has more analogue battery experience. Has 18megapixels. Has… well you know. Enjoy the M10r, it is truly great as are the voigtlanders you picked ✨👌🏼
The M11 has an aluminum top and bottom plate with bits of plastic. The M10R has brass top and bottom plates and has the classic film Leica feel. The M11 is more like an SL2 camera deficient in autofocus
Yes. And the Hasselblad XD2 has a bigger sensor (and autofocus). The Ricoh GR series fit in your pocket. The Sony a series... I can go on and on. Why the comparisons? Why the insecurity about choices made. This brand kills that brand. And so on. 😂👍🏼

Awesome. Yes good points 👍🏼👍🏼
Leica Ms and the R18, both products that slow us down in life a little bit. M10-P (24MP) is enough for me. However, will look into the new M11 Monochrom now. Good luck with your new channel. I signed up and look forward to some interesting content in the future.
Indeed! The same ethos, and art and design 👌🏼
Excellent 👌🏼
Excellent 👌🏼
Just like you, I had no pleasure with a A7III (A7RIII actually). Currently I shoot M262 and recently I bought a "Mint" used M10 monochrome. I shoot mainly with a Lux 50, sometimes with an Elmarit 28, occasionally with a 90 F2.4. For me, using a M is not to increase any performance. Manual settings has a calming effect on me, the noise of the shutter is a sweet melody, the ergonomics are friendly, and all together, each photo session gives me the joy of a child in an entertainment park. I don't need more to be happy.
💯👌🏼👍🏼
I can totally feel your decisions. Actually I found almost the same solution for me with the A7r IV as a workhorse and an M6 for the pure fun of photography. Even the Color Skopar sits on my M6 haha
👌🏼💯
Been looking at the M10-R to replace my M240, you have a new subscriber looking forward to more Leica videos..
Welcome aboard 👍🏼👍🏼
If you could divide the cost by 10 and then half it... what would you recommend?
i.e. good beginner one for ease of use and easy to carry around
I think the Fuji XPro 2 or 3 is a great camera 👌🏼
I just had a 50mm on my old Leica and it did everything! 👌🏼
Look forward to your future content. I use an XPro 1 at the moment.
Thanks very much. Excellent 👌🏼
This man knows his stuff. Thumb up.
Thanks very much 👍🏼👍🏼
I should have known... I watched all this wonderfully framed footage of yours and I thought: the man is a natural. He really knows how to capture it. How foolish of me. I'm not saying you are not a natural, but you get my drift... alright, subscribed.
Haha thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
Great start to the new channel
Thank you!
Finally a reviewer who sounds like a professor and looks like an Avenger!
Awesome! Thanks buddy 👍🏼
Beautiful M10-R, I went for the M10-D but I always wonder how it compared to the M10-R (color wise). I really get it, M are simple and freeing to use. Great video btw, best of luck!
Thanks buddy 👌🏼
Nice to find a new M10-R, Looking for one myself right now!
My experience mirrors yours - except I got the last black one in the country. It’s a wonderful camera.
Excellent! 👌🏼
Is this Vice admiral Garp?
Just found you. A man after my own heart! Looking forward to more Leica videos. Best!
Thanks buddy. Definitely more to come 👍🏼
I bought the Voigtlander 35mm. Lovely lens. But I sold it after two weeks as it was too tiny for my chunky fingers! 😞
Ditto, ditto and ditto…love my silver M10-R with my Voigtlander glass….got the body new from HK for 60% of the original retail price and even a greater savings over the M11.
had a m3 my father left me , loved it
So few cameras have that timeless appeal 👍🏼
I have the M11 and had the M10R. If I had to do it again, I’d get the R. The freezing issues of the 11 and the annoying delay in shutter opening-closing-opening is quite annoying. Enjoy!
OK right; thanks bud 👍🏼👍🏼
You now have two of my hobbies. Now, if you only start a shotgunning channel you’ll have everything covered!
Haha that’s one I’m not knowledgeable about 👍🏼
Brilliant. I also have a 10R and the Color-Skopar. Concur across the board.
Indeed I did a couple of videos when I first got the new Jimny 👍🏼👍🏼
60MP is definitely harder to work with, and is gruesome with many layers. 40MP I think is perfect, but I can't ignore the USB-C and internal storage.
Also bogth a M10R BP. I was to buy the M11, but the 40mp is more than what i need! Great camera!
Yes it certainly is 👍🏼
I own the M10 R and the M11P. Both are fantastic. For the M11 you dont feel it technologic more than the M10. You can use some features and you dont if you wish. Very flexible is the M11.
Subbed to the new channel good luck with it I'm sure it will be a success 😃👍
Thanks very much. Welcome aboard 👍🏼
Subscribed!
Welcome aboard. Good points 👍🏼👍🏼
Haha yes I don’t blend in!
The Leica 75 f2 APO is a great lens. But I recently picked up the Voigtlander 75 f1.9 for $650 on Amazon thinking that the lens was trash and oh boy was I wrong !!!!!! My favorite lens now and super tiny.
I'd argue the that Leica isn't the only camer out there that gives you an 'analoge' feeling. Fuji is right up there to for me
Not even close. Just the manual focus experience (focus by wire) on Fuji is so far away from the tactile feeling of a rangefinder coupled lens...
An excellent review, thank you!
Much appreciated 👍🏼
I also have both the M10-R and 75mm V. I am not overly impressed by the 75mm V in terms is user experience. The results are quite nice for portraits and the focusing ring is not stable so I don’t really like that much.
Great! OK really; so far I’m getting on well with the 75 👍🏼
I still like to know witch color to chose black or silver and why any one can help?
Completely down to personal preference really, (or availability
❤my skopar, great Lens on my MP240
What was the name of that technical TH-cam channel you mentioned? This vid was very informative; my weaknesses are cameras and motorcycles so I hear you! And the options with Menus is too much; especially when working with three different systems plus film on a wedding/event job.

Thanks buddy. I see someone has added the link 👍🏼
Interested in hearing your current thoughts on this? Thanks
Really loving the M10 👍🏼
I’ll would love to see more of your images, judging by the few you showed👍
Am I correct in saying Leica are made in Germany…..as is your R18……mmm🤔
Needless to say….subscribed👍
Thanks very much. Yes indeed; German products are always top notch in my experience.
I still use the Leica M3 and the Leica 2F.
Dear Old man, We have some simlar interests, bikes, photography, farning, pets, also prefers rural area not cities..
The old man& Mr Darcey, is better, because old Man is the real Star, his name has to be first, because of you I subscribed,
Thanks very much 👍🏼👍🏼
No video on the voigtlander 75 1.5??
Unfortunately, one because my Leica has been being fixed the last five months in Germany and the impossible weather here is Wales I haven't had the motivation to do any videos. Consequently I changed the channel to a podcast channel 👍🏼
From what use I had of the lense it was fantastic.
how do you like that bag?
Just got it! It’s really nice. Just big enough, and top quality 👌🏼
Good, choice. Would make the same one if I had a spare kidney 😅 I do have an M6.
I'm happy to see we have similar hobbies. Cheers!
Yea they’re not cheap! M6 ❤️
(Actually, the M-D Typ 262 takes home the trophy in this regard).
i did the same, love the files of the m10r
Perfect 👌🏼
I have the M10-R the only complaint I have is the battery life. I have 3 batteries for it and they go quick. It doesn’t have USB to charge.
I’ve yet to test the battery life. I tend to shoot with live view off so I’m hoping it’ll be ok
If you turn off live view, and turn off the image review you save a tone of energy. I can go days on a single battery.
I have the M10-R and battery life seems OK to me even though I had the M11 to compare with it's superdoopa battery life. Could your battery be faulty?
Check out the nitecore dual chargers, you can charge 2 simultaneously with a power bank
I Leica the new channel.
Haha good one 👌🏼
Love my lumix with leica lens but oh those drop down menus.....lost so many shots fiddling!
Leica made lots of change with m11 and if you are familiar with retro digital M those changes might sound 'fishy'
Liked and subscribed.🙂
Welcome aboard 👍🏼
They say you can't shoot the fastest lenses - f/0.95 and f/1.2 - "wide open" on a sunny day with the M10-R without ND filters, but I think "they" just haven't tried. With Kodak Portra 160 film, the M10-R's 1/4000 sec maximum shutter speed is often just fast enough - and Kodak Portra 160 is a beautiful, fine-grained film.
Yes I’ve got to establish that. Most likely I’d shoot such shots in shade so it wouldn’t be an issue but I have bought a 4 stop ND filter just in case
Gosh! We are men of good taste 😉👌🏼
Very interesting 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video
Thanks very much. 👍🏼👍🏼
Leica II, III and a 50cm F2 are $650 what isn’t it that you can’t afford. M2 are $1200, that’s only $100 a month.
You are saying you can’t get two people to give you $50 for photo shoots?
I also follow ur bike channel… good work. Keep it up.
Did the same thing in 2023
Really enjoyed this video and I’m glad TH-cam recommended your channel. I purchased the same camera and it is wonderful. You’ll see it over on my channel. Hope you pop by mate. Also I am looking forward to your new content. Cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks buddy. I have just popped over and subscribed 👌🏼
@@DarcyOlManExtra thanks buddy. I might go find your other channel also and follow. 👍

And so on. 😂👍🏼
@@mauricerijnders3507because the M10-R is the better rangefinder choice. 😊
I kid, but not.
@@alexsorokin1896glad you're happy with your choice 👍🏼
