Addressing Momometal's timeline, she signed with Amuse in 2014 and on May 6, 2015, she entered Sakura Gakuin at the "Sakura Gakuin 2015 Nendo - Transfer Ceremony". She graduated from SG on March 24, 2018. She was born on March 3, 2003... 03-03-03... yes, she has a thing with the number 3. 😁
Metalverse are currently on hold. They never released officially any music (only two live MVs) and there is no news since May last year.

4:33 Babymetal first performed in NYC in 2014, they actually visited there first in the US before even performing in the US. Among other things, they went to see Lady Gaga perform at the Madison Square Garden, because she invited Babymetal to open for her at 4 (from memory it was 4) shows in the US Art Rave tour.

Nice one man! This is a really good guide that helps shed some light on their background. One thing I believe you were confused about: The new Babymetal is still just Su, Moa, and Momo. The 5-member "Metalverse" group is another project Kobametal is putting together. They are not Babymetal, but a sister group.

the sign is the fox sign (kitsune). It comes from the when the girls started and they misinterpreted the rock horn hand signs as a fox for making shadows. The lore followed. It is for Babymetal, but they started as the heavy music club for sakura gakuin.

To play one time at the Budokan was a target for many japanese artists. Butvfor BabyMetal this became something of a second home in their eatly years , while sonisphwre became their Legend they had never played in front of 10.000 people and there they were in front of 45.000 people, they were near a panic attack but performed and had a success that brought them fame in the whole world.
I can tell it’s a scary sight first time in a big crowd. :)
The heavy Music Club was originally Kobametals project that then became Babymetal. When they split Babymetal became an independant Project for Amuse and the Heavy Music Club no longer existed. Momoko just joined Sakura Gakuin after Moa and Yui graduated.

Yours it’s an interesting perspective for us the older Babymetal fans, since we watch the Sakura Gakuin videos, laugh at the jokes Morí sensei plays on the girls and the nicknames he gives them in the yearly “Nendo test”. The rehearsals for the commercial of a cell company, in which the SG girls dressed as angels trying to remember their lines for the shooting… 😂
There was a time when Suzuka Nakamoto was not a metal queen with a Death Glare, she was the fast talking maker of excuses Baka Nakamoto 😂 so you need to watch the Sakura Gakuin Nendo tests from 2010 and onward.
The graduation ceremonies with all the emotions, Moa crying like a fountain 😅
Seeing all the hard work they put in, gives a sense of accomplishment for those that nowadays still continue in the show business as singers, dancers, tv presenters, actresses or international models.
Angel of Dance / Tomato Princess Yui Mizuno, the Twin Towers Ayaka Miyoshi & Airi Matsui, the wild gesturing of Marina Horiuchi, Deadpan Rinon Isono who never cries, and all the other girls with their own personalities and quirks, they grow on us older kitsunes as our adoptive daughters ❤

Metalverse was a Background Project of Koba. He first had the idea to establish them around the first few Babymetal Songs and he asded a few new songs. It was all part of the Circus project for Amuse, but after one of the girls decided to continue school and another girl becamevan actress it is pretty much unclear. While zhey appeared at Fox Fest for the lsst time the project is üretty much in turmoil.

Yes this splitvwas necessary to guarantee thir brak times. So Su got her Solos, while Black Babymetal got their four Songs. Yui and Moa remembered tobdo homework Backstage since their parents demanded, thatvthey maintain their good grades only then they had the permissions to do Babymetal.

Sakura Gakuin had orignally to bring the new girls up to speed and produce a number of suitable girls per year. But the yelds were not good enough. To many girls decided to continue school. In fact Babymetal was their biggest success.
Honestly that doesn’t surprise me that the girls would’ve wanted to continue with school
This wss the idea, although in this case Skura Gakuin got a bit of a Trauma from Babymetal. They were more or less on a Stady decline, while Babymetals Numbers grew.

Nice reaction! Now you know a little bit more about them and their "inner workings". Too bad you stopped a little bit too early at the end of the guide video. You missed the girls laughing so hard after the interviewer said something regarding their "OTFGK". Watch it again! 😉 You should watch the entire interview, it was done by Joe Seconi in 2023 (he interviewed them for the second time, after he did an interview with them back in 2014!) at Fox 5 New York.

GREAT fun to watch! Especially the last question he asked, and Su-Metal´s reaction to it is great. He reminded her to something she said in a very early interview (different interviewer) 🤣This is right before the "OTFGK", when you stopped.

There´s a small, but quite important detail the guide missed. Saya Hirai. She was some kind of a "proto-Avenger" during the "Dark Carnival" phase of their world tour (the "and whatever this is!" costume part in the guide video). She was the only backup dancer who wore a mic during a photo session (and just for that photo session. Never again after that). Fiery discussions about this back then!
I´m still so glad we got Momo as an "Avenger", and finally as the third full member. Princess 🍑/Momozilla 😉is a perfect fit! But never ever forget about Yui! 🍅

Not quite this was a phase with other dancers called muscle metal. It was a very difficult time for them. Fans demanded Yui back, while they continued to work (for Yui too) and tried to reestablished their team. Both Su and Moa describe this phase as growing up. They tried to make it work without Yui and the Fans demanded only with Yui. As Moa described this eas not helpfull. Although a suitablevtranslation could be a lot harsher.

Shecwas not replaced. Babymetals old xontract endedcin April 2023. Su and Moa decided to make a new contract with Amuse an effective idea since Koba had to deal with himself. He was the person responsible for Amuse and their personal manager. So he called Momoko back from Korea and offered her the new position. But he was unsure how big their success would be after this long break. He had Metalverse in the Background as a younger Babymetal and rather slowly was convinced that his old girls were still the number 1. He motebor less gave them control about their own history at Legend MM after they filled pretty much all venues to capacity. You are always thinking about yur culture. BABYMETAL was a concept forbthevjapanese market. He had no idea if his conceptbcould function in Europe or the US. Theirvtravel to Europe was first of all a promotion Tour. They booked a normal Stage for 4.000 people at a festival. They had no idea that the festival looked at TH-cam where Gimme Chocolate exploded and they did not know that Babymetal was under observation by Metallica and that they wrote on a review about BabyMetal for MetalHammer. So the festival got busy and made them a counteroffer. MainStage right before thebmain acts. Half an hour and the girls voted for MainStage. The girls werevnervpusvif they would have any visitors. And the audience was quite shocked when they suddenly saw a corps painted band and in front 3 tiny girls. That they left the stage 30 minutes later under We want more Calls was totally unexpected. They were suddenly a big act in the European festival scene. And as they realized that Babymetal sold more merchandise than any other band shocked the complete japanese Music industry. They suddenly were the biggest International success of a japanese Group.

Yes and no. Yui, Suzuka and Moa observed this in a Metal Concert where they went with Koba, but they had no Concept for a Devil, but it tememberd them of the Fox Sign of Shadow Play. So Koba did not correct them but instead the Fox Sign was their official sign. You don't want to give new metal fans an intense education in religion if they start to become metal fans.

Well it was not quite as clearvas it looked. They were three candidates, one of the girls always fought with Su for the lead role, the other candidate was simply too young and constantly ran into limitations, so they fast drifted into other projects.
