Man’s (and woman’s) highest and greatest expression of glory is to worship because man was created for fellowship with the Lord. And when we talk about prayer, love, faith, surrender, and obedience, they all combinate (blend) in worship. For example: When we worship, we pray. When we worship, we love. When we worship, we walk in faith. When we worship, we are surrendering. When we worship, we are living in obedience. So, Worship means all theses disciplines and more. So, when we say, “Worship in the Spirit,” what we mean is the full expression of fellowship in the Lord. So, when we are worshiping: We praying. We are loving the Lord. We are walking in faith. We are surrendering to the Lord. We are obeying the Lord. So, worship is way more than what people can comprehend because worshiping is presenting your whole being to the Lord. So when a person is saying, “I surrender to the Lord,” what they are really doing is worshiping (giving Jesus your whole being). Also, worship is the fullest approach to God, we never approach him partially. So, let’s recap: Man’s highest glory is to worship A man was created for fellowship, and worship is the greatest expression of fellowship. When we worship, we pray, we love, we are walking in faith, we are surrendering and we are obeying. When worship, we are presenting our whole being to the Lord. When we worship, we are approaching God fully (it’s the truest and fullest approach to God). So, when Jesus says, “Come onto me,” How do we come to him? By worship, which is the fullest and only way to come. Worship is our highest destiny as believers, so let’s understand how to worship in the Spirit. Well, God created the soul as the seat of man’s (and woman’s) personality and consciousness. The soul is the link, through our body, to the visible world And our soul is linked to the divine world through our spirit man. Now, every act, emotion, and decision you make comes from the soul (that is where our mind, our intellect, and will is). And the spirit responds to the decisions the soul makes. Also, the soul has to decide whether it should yield to the desires of the flesh or the will of God. So when Adam fell, his soul refused to be ruled by his Spirit, and he decides to be ruled by the body - and at that moment he became a slave to the body. When your soul says, “I want to yield to the body,” - it becomes a slave to the body. When your soul yields to the spirit - it becomes a slave to the spirit. And every single day we make that decision.
