☺️Part 1. After watching the video of your picnic, I was wondering if you actually, really liked it. That breakfast tray didn’t scream luxury to me. I bet time away from kids was nice though 😁 *** My husband surprised me with a luxury picnic for our 16th anniversary last month. I thought it was SUPER CUTE!!! He got the Luxe Romantic package. But after learning that he paid 😱 almost $600, I would have expected a few things to be different too. 1. It could be that the permit does not allow ceramic or glass… (🤔 but the cider was in a glass bottle…) Any-who, the plates were Plastic or melamine. And the wine glasses were plastic. 2. The package came with cider, but instead of champagne flutes, they only left us wine glasses. I still posted a picture, but it makes us look as if we don’t know the differences in stemware. 3. They used gold Plastic flatware 4. They used paper napkins instead of cloth napkins. 5. The wine glasses were not set out. They were tucked in a basket with some card games and bottle opener. Their Instagram has super pretty set-ups BUT the cups and stemware are not always placed properly. TIP to all luxury picnic businesses! make sure your tables are properly set. A pet peeve of mine is seeing so many expensive “luxury” picnic pictures and the table isn’t even set right 😳😬. Forks go on the left. Knives on the right, blades in. Spoons to the right of knives. Drinkware to the top right. Napkin to the left of the forks or on the plate. Etc. 6. Not that the wind would have allowed real candles to be used, but the candles were all LED (Probably another permit thing?). 7. The last thing. For the Romantic $600 ish package, I would have expected SOME real flowers. At least the little vase on the table. But I can see from the business side of things, that it cuts into the profits. Part 2. I really like picnics, and I LOVE the idea of luxury picnics. I didn’t know it could be so expensive. I found out how much $$ it was when I suggested booking one with the kids 🤣! I also love decorating and setting tables (again, you can see some of it on my channel). So I’m on a mission to make my own luxury picnics with the kids! The table is like the MAIN thing, so I’m trying to find an affordable solution for that. I subscribed! Good luck with your business!
My mind is always racing on doing this but I really have to think about it MORE. I will try this, by setting up an in-home dinner for my husband and me. This will let me know if it will work for me as a business.
