Just look at the commercialization of Italian fusion culture first in terms of a mix of Italian, but Americanized food for an American pallet in restaurants, then a specialized food type (Pizza) and finally a drink in Espresso. It has worked out wonderfully for the Italian American community in helping uplifting a large portion of an immigrant community to the point. That today if you tried to talk about it being culturally appropriated by people who are not Italian. Most people would think you are crazy or some kind of crypto white nationalist racist.
Bubble Tea has long outgrown its roots in Taiwan decades ago at this point. Someone from Taiwan whining about it should be looked at in the same light as an Italian American who complains about a First Nations person wanting to open a Dominos or Olive Garden. Sure they are both not close to authentic Italian food, but neither is most Italian restaurants in America run by Italian American families.
As someone of Italian decent you have my permission enjoy a Pumpkin Spiced espresso diluted with cream or milk.

@@QuickBulletin your ancestors assimilated. Therefore being "Italian" isn't the same for you as someone from Italy.
