    That’s definitely good gain because that was essentially a 75 shot that was added to the 5.3 and it gained double that. Then on the 6.0 that was around a 125 shot and again added about double that

    Very informative video, what about a all nitrous videos with a variety of nitrous setups, let say different ways to implement it.
    With or without the progressive control how it effects the powerband and which is safer. Different jets combination what afr are better for nitrous. Stock bottom end ls 🎉🎉

      A BOV is not designed to withstand that type of temp-a waste gate works better

      How about no wastegate, using bov to control boost. I have seen tbis done, but not sure how it works.​@richardholdener1727

    A little bit off subject, but I don't know if you have ever done a video in regard to InterChillers? Unfortunately on my set up Im unable to use one with an Air to Air intercooler. It would be interesting to see how much power an InterChiller makes or Preserves within an engine?

      I have seen his intercoolers comparison. It's not as big of a difference as you think but, it's still worth it. Go on his channel. Say 800hp with out, then with it would be like 925. It's hard to turn down bolt on power like that. Hope this helped you.

    I tested a 75 shot down stream of the intercooler to see how much it would chill it. It definitely lowered intake temps. But it wasn't as efficient as a wet shot. Was going to continue testing but smoked my converter 😂

      we saw a change of only 30 degrees-you would see even less on an intercooled application

    What happens when you add nitrous to a supercharger? Obviously its not going to affect the boost curve like it would a turbo, but that would be interesting to see.

    Does nitrous register any amount of boost in the intake a NA engine? Is there enough expansion to actually build boost?

      it would have to phase change in the intake-not before like on this application, but I don't think it would be much

    Hey Richard. Idk if this has been done from what im finding it hasnt been. Can you test sbc eBay complete heads? Im curious
    1) if they are actually worth anything.
    2) would they actually hold up to another low buck option like a flotek or liberty performance.

    I’m curious whether or not he pulled timing for the nitrous and if so did he do it based on the jet size or the actual power it made or if he just sprayed it and left the tune alone.

    @richardholdener1727 How would I add nitrous to a blow through turbo - carb’d V8? Would it be just the regular under-the-carb plate system or would you have the fuel solenoids at the base of the carb and nitrous solenoids plumbed into the inlet pipe?

    Nice gains on no2, Im wondering richards thoughs on mixing meth injection and nitrous to cool the intake charge and combustion temps. We played around with this with a holley hi ram and a intake temp sensor in the 8th runner. On a 6.0 twin 6266 30 psi with x85 as primary fuel.
    the results where shocking and weird 😁

      the more fuel/nitrous you spray into the intake-the better the cooling

      @@richardholdener1727 Yes that was what we were thinking, it was jetted for a 150 shot and we had #18 meth jets duals. All nozzles were about 3 inch from the inlet. The weird results was we lost 200 hp 22* timing 5000 to 8300. Afr was 11.56 inlet temps where mid 70s from 180 plus from runs without the injection. Back pressure on turbos were very low .
      Then the shock was we broke two rings and bent two rods🤷‍♂️ zero detonation plugs look great ultra H beam weisco piston

      @@aaronliddell4280 possibly vapor lock and not enough timing looking at the data and the video the intake had condensation on the outside
      The mixture of methanol and nitrous probably too much nitrous started to freeze the methanol we got a 4.8 on the dyno now gonna try it again lol
      It definitely cools the intake changes wich is great we can take the inter cooler off the car lighten it up
      But gotta fix the mixture first

      yes-I added ring gap on this motor (it was the 1543-hp Big Bang motor). Put the gap at .0065 per 1 inch of bore for high boost

    How much do you feel that Size Nitrous Shot will shorten the Longevity of an Hardened engine with boost 11.1 Compression and 4032 pistons ?

      you can also just turn up the boost if you want more power, but tuned properly, I went through 25-30 bottles of nitrous on my Mustang

      @@richardholdener1727 Yeah, just with stock compression (Originally, built NA engine then added boost) keeping fairly low boost @8lbs and good AFR, tune.
      Also, wanted to get your thoughts on Best size Cubit Inch for Boost? With my next build, 410-411CI VS 426-427CI, or even smaller 6.2L VS 6.4L Ive heard the slightly smaller Displacement at these sizes the smaller tends to have better reliability and longevity for Boost..

      I provide jet size because there is no 100-hp jet (the power gain varies with pressure, timing, and AF)

    How would the boost curve look if you activated the N20 around 3500rpm? Would the turbo over spool or run out at higher engine rpm?

      the boost spike would likely be earlier and the boost would be higher through the rpm range

    A 50 shot ona PD adds about 100hp and 1-2 PSI boost, I think the boost gain is due to the charge air temperature vs the increased exhaust flow.

      @@richardholdener1727iat sensors do not react instantly to colder temp changes, especially a factory one. If you have a faster reacting iat sensor, it’s still not going to be instant. For the short amount of time nitrous is being sprayed, it’s understandable why the iat didn’t drop fast.

      @@aaronliddell4280 is that what he’s using? Iat sensors are inherently slow going to lower temps. They react fast to higher temps. All the tests I’ve seen show that.
