A tune that Ruben Tagalog made into a classic love song that has been used by many haranistas decades ago. Many Filipinos probably confessed their love to their ladies using this song, or another one from the harana repertoire, that was sung outside the house to a lovely maiden listening inside the window.
This is a song that men used to sing to ladies inside their homes to confess their love while the woman is listening through the window. The whole household can hear and even the neighbors so it is a great opportunity for a man to show that they are truly in love with the lady because he can potentially be rejected and suffer embarrassment if the love is unrequited.
