      Great video! Just FYI, "gauge" is pronounced to rhyme with "age". No, it doesn't make sense. :)

    I have been sewing my entire life and to a beginner I would like to say that you don’t need any expensive tools to achieve these tasks. Interesting tools would be the things you already have at home, like the bobbin pin, an owl to feed the fabric while sewing etc! 👌

      Hello Silversaga! Thank you for comment. When it comes to sewing, the only true "must have" items are sewing machine, measuring tape and a pair of scissors; however, having additional tools can really help speed up the process or achieve better results (this week I made a sweatshirt from very thick fabrics and that Bulk seam aid tool really came in handy!).

      I think you mean awl… I don’t think an owl would find fabric very fulfilling to feed on 😜

      I Absolutely Agree, you are Right! All of this non essential stuff is designed to take your money, so understand that, and be creative! Spend the money you save on some things that are Absolutely Essential to sewing…FABRIC. THREAD. TAPE MEASURE. And GOOD SCISSORS! Don’t listen to anyone pointing out your typos, it’s just something else you can do without!

    I have that bulky seam tool and had no idea what it was used for, the grips for your rulers are a must if you cur a lot of fabric.

    These were actually all interesting tools that were different enough that I would call all of them "new" - even though other gadgets may be on the market for the same reason. If beginners are having specific issues, some of these items may help.
    As I've sewn for 60+ years, I wouldn't need these ('cept for maybe the suction cup pin cushion?) but as I age and arthritis affects my dexterity, some of these tools may offer more assistance than what I currently use. Good to know those items are out there. Thank you!

    Gauge rhymes with "age" (the u is silent). It is a neat tool. Thanks for sharing. I just bought one of those seam jumpers--it's a little tricky to use but it helps.

    A silicone finger tip works well for me. I use it to count paper currency and it is heat proof on an iron.

    the seam ripper I had in my sewing kit for years and never knew that the end of it can lift the ripped thread. I would not have know that if I had not see this video. I guess no one is too old to learn new ideas

    I'm not a gadget person. But the very first tool four button placement is one that I would be interested in. May I please ask how far does it expand and what is the distance in between the button placement?

    • @Julija_Gobere
      @Julija_Gobere  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Barbara! The distance between button placement in this tool is max 8.5cm

    Thanks for some useful ideas, Julie! (By the way, for tool #1 the gauge, it is pronounced without the "u" and it rhymes with "wage" and "rage." Crazy English.) :)

    Would they be you favorites if you were not being sponsored by the brand. This is a commercial

    • @Julija_Gobere
      @Julija_Gobere  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Though this video is sponsored, I honestly use quite a few of these items on regular basis - for example, since I usually do my own patterns, I always use sewing gauge for button placement, it's very convenient and makes the process much faster :)

    Nobody does it / Everybody does it: So annoying: Why is it that the demonstrator keeps on moving/shaking/twisting the product being shown. Is it impossible to hold it still so we can take a photo ????????????????????????????

      @@dianezybrands8250 , Makeup has a lot to do with the videos as you need enough on to show up on screen & not be so pale.
