He was beast mode back then. Rosenblatt, Danziger and Weckl.
I can see is that since then he had his own unique sound and incredible grip :)
I’ve got an exactly the same Sonor HiLite kit with the same black Remo heads from a pawnshop from Connecticut 15 years ago , I wonder if this the one?

He was 17 years old 🤩. At 17 I was still struggling with the PODEMSKI book 😅🤦🏻

@@elbaquetazocubano the story with Zach is that he wanted to sound like Weckl so much that he actually did, and then spent all the time since trying to get away from that but in a negative way.
Negative my ass. Zach is amazing and pushes the limits on modern drumming. He’s been there done that with this style of drumming.
