Slave Cure

- Freedom is an attribute that develops through practice.
Freedom that is the result of a process of removing constraints outside of you, means the inner constraints shall remain untouched and one shall stay a ‘slave’, clearly it’s only an illusion of freedom.
The practitioner should embrace the outside constraints in order to transform one self, internally and become truly free.
Such is the Slave Cure.
This is how we try to practice. One day at a time, with commitment, dedication and perseverance. We don’t put our navigation in the hands of what ‘feels good’, ‘looks good’ or what we are ‘good at’ necessarily, neither do we look for discomfort for discomfort sake. These choices place too much control in the wrong hands.
For those who are interested in practicing and receiving guidance in the practice, our ONLINE EDUCATIONAL PLATFORM is such a place. Email us at info@idoportal.com for details and registration. Save both of our time: serious folks only, this is not for everyone.

Dude must be aware or be in control of each and every vibration in his body, I can't even imagine how many years of hardwork is that we are enjoying watching rn, as an MMA Artist I totally understand and enjoy watching and learning(even a fragment) what he does I would really like to work under him when I join UFC
I have admired your playfulness, creativity and understanding of the concept of existence since you first began posting videos many years ago. It has been a pleasure to watch you evolve and grow. Bless you and your family and may you always be happy ,

You don't know all movement. Indian classical dance movement what is ido portal?????????? 🇮🇳🇮🇳😍😍😍😍
Wow all this footwork would be so good for fighters
@@salciano No I don't mean *literally* fight like that! Speaking as someone who trains submission grappling, I think this flowing Capoeira style footwork would help me a lot with my wrestling footwork.
Anyone know what shoes Ido's wearing?
Those minimalistic shoes look fantastic. What are they called?
For the record, I am deeply a fan of your work and your ideas helped transform my life and build my inertia of transformation.
I find there's something-- I get a sense of lonely in large spaces, though not quite isolation; almost chaotic in this. I'm not sure that's quite what you were hoping for. The movements of the body are fluid and with grace and precision as always that I've ever seen of you.
If I understand you correctly, you seem to be talking about/referring to a complete disassembly of the internal sense of Self. Some things that constrain us are bad and enslaving, true. But not all that binds us is bad. The love for a parent, or a friend is deeply binding and not something I want to be free from for example. I know/hope this is not quite what you're referring to, but still.
Partially also based on your interview with Hubberman, it also seems like you're referring to accepting the external constraints of the body and situation, but fully allowing the internal sense of self to completely wander without gravity or anchor point... That would allow external movement of the body to completely guide and transform the internal landscape. The internal would only be limited by how the body moves.
In your Hubberman interview, you called Movement almost an Entity. That, and this, hints to me that you are entering an arena where a lack of sense of self, not knowing what version of you will wake up in the morning, makes you prey for hunters/ food to be consumed without proper defenses. I am well aware I sound crazy. I don't care. The "freedom" of COMPLETELY abandoning a sense of internal structure is dangerous. I know. I've been down that road. I won't say it can't be rewarding, but only if one is able to return from there. Any Entity that may be encountered there should never be underestimated, or fully trusted, don't discount the Siren's Song of such an entity.
I hope I'm incorrect in my assessment and interpretation. You blaze a trail, sir. How many do you desire to walk in, or around, your footsteps? I wish you and your followers well. I really do enjoy your work.
Your reading is profound, hence interesting. Like Vivekananda sometimes a mans work is done and he needs to dys-integrate.
Nobody owes another person right to their existence; perhaps the least understood thing about suicidal ideation.
There's something potent about the vacated space; its never void. When a man no longer belongs to anything* least of all himself, perhaps then alone is he truly alive. Alone. Godspeed!
I percibe it's also about realizing that the lack of self is a separate state to the sense of being and one can still be in control just by being without the notion of self. From there, the movement allows you to construct a different frame of understanding the body and mind, personal and collective.
@@macsmenteinmune You're quite correct these are different things/ separate states, sense of self and being/existence, and should be counted as such. However, without a self to be "in control", the body is completely defenseless. If human psychology were the only factor to consider here, you'd be completely correct. Truthfully, you are correct, but you seem to assume the body and brain that is moving is the only-- let's say individual-- who is able to choose and construct the new frame. No, I am not referring to other humans and or whatever group that may be a social group, nor am I referring to consuming media. If it were only human psychology at play here, that's mechanically a rather simple process; difficult and maybe arduous, but mechanically simple. That's a road I've been down; with the right tools, it's incredibly rewarding.
In the Hubberman interview, 10 minutes in, Ido "this is the entity that I refer to as Movement"; when I say he's likely entered an arena with things that see him as food, I mean he's likely dealing with something that can, and will, literally consume all he's willing to give to it. That's not a metaphor, or a joke, that's not just possibly being suicidal (actually that's possible, but I refuse to speculate on such a thing, I have no basis for that; I don't know the man personally and have never met him).
Ido's use of the word "entity" is deeply alarming to me. I have experience with that arena. Literally, non-physical entities do actually exists; I don't care how crazy that may sound. Without the proper defenses, walking in blindly is akin to walking in to the den of a starving bear, dumping a bucket of honey of yourself and saying "hungry?" Choosing to do so, knowing what may happen, is one thing (in which case he's a consenting adult who can make his own choices), but doing so blindly-- I've known people who were fed to such things. There is always a choice, that's important; nothing can be done without volition.
I hope I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. I am genuinely concerned for those who'd choose to follow blindly. If someone chooses to follow knowing the dangers, I wish them good fortune on their journey. It is truly a rewarding path, just, you know, be aware of the potholes in the road.
@@oilikaekoile i understand better, and very interesting, thanks for your answer.
@@oilikaekoile The buddhists have long discovered that the sense of self is not necessary for survival. But you're right that without proper guidance it can be a dangerous path. The teaching of non-self is nuanced and it has to be accompanied by proper understanding of conditions, cause and effect, and impermanence.
Speechless
The only word for these movements is *_fascinating_*
...dude, your partner is amazing! she move like a benguela mestranda do capoeira!

There must be something since we all watch just this.

As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. There is always something interesting in movement.
How many of you are going to go online and buy those sneakers now?
Who cares. I wanna learn to move like them.
@@jakemegabyte896 its a joke, you didnt get it.
Ordered them online half way through video. Ordered a small wooden stick as well
Well derek you have a great business mind and insight, i work barefoot or with any minimal shoe and i also have a five fingers from vibram 😁👶
@@Gainsndnsjs at least someone got the joke! LOLOLLLL
Gut ;)
Wouldn't it make sense to train both hands/arms with the stick? Cause in these clips Ido seems to practice only with his right one.
IDO, Brian Rose and Andrew Huberman have both mentioned that they admire your philosophy. Can you turn on the camera and share some of it with us?
@huberlab has a 2-hr interview with Ido Portal. I think you’ll like it.
@@YogiCecily I watched it twice. What I gleaned from that and all of Brian Rose's TH-cams related to Ido Portal and what I can glean is 1. We're all just here killing time 2. Move because we can (kinda like why Edmund Hillary climbed Everest) 3. The human being can move in more ways than any other land animal 4. Movement is intelligence 5. Fear is irrelevant 6. Train 8-10 hours a day 7. Follow a good teacher like a disciple, irregardless of what he's teaching
8. if you choose to be a slave, it's not slavery
I think this interview was even better

9. get cheap sneakers from chinese sweatshop
Anyone know what brand/model those white with blue shoes are?
Move like Ido or stay still like a rock.
Watching all this comes down to…. Just have fun like when we’re kids
There is a process of building up and tearing down. Respectfully, I don’t believe children have walked this path
@@HaydenGladstonePT true … children don’t have to tear down bad habits that we as adults have put upon ourselves
How to put this exercises in the training routine? Or we need to do randomly?
Which shoes?

Yes, it’s a 16” wooden dowel from Home Depot That is 2.5 inches in diameter

Not sure if the people in the comment section are paid to post these comments? Also not sure about the meaning of the video? Was it about making us laugh or feeling inspired by random moves done in the dark alleyway ?🤷♂️ It is really bizarre
Was once really impressed with this stuff. Then I got really into martial arts and its kinda silly and boring to me.
That said, it’s probably better for your physical longevity and not everyone is into striking and grappling.
Which martial arts are you talking about?
@@moredatesmorefiber3526 MMA, but more specifically grappling arts
@@brendanj8344 at what level?
@@moredatesmorefiber3526 not sure what you mean by "what level" I'm not making money by competing if that's what you mean, very few people do. I have been professionally coaching over the recent years though.
These skills are beneficial to grappling. Sure, they won't make you a world class kickboxer, but speed and stamina are important qualities.
ido doesn't use barefoot shoes??? he should... (the girl in the video is using martial arts shoes which have most the benefits of a barefoot shoes except for a wide toe box)
