❤️ Raffaella 💖 This video is an edited version taken from "Milleluci", an Italian show hosted by Mina and Raffaella. The editing was carried out by replacing Adriano Celentano (guest in this episode who performed his "Prisencolinensinainciusol") with the singer of Saint Motel. The original show aired in 1974.

Oct 24. 21 Leaving work today at 7:am I hear this tune--am instantly struck by it. Im thinkin is this an 80s English invasion band that I somehow missed. I almost panic fearing I'll never find out who it is. Searched the lyrics. Find it. Play it. Over. And Over.. How did I miss this one? Was it a hit?
This song was featured in the movie "Mr. Right". Starring Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell. They were both great in this movie. Like you, I tend to play this song over and over again.
I've always wanted saint motel to get famous and at the same time keep them a secret to me cause, they're so unique and it makes me want to preserve them. ❤️
Hmmm, I'm getting the idea that they could just keep making music videos to this song. So far, two terrific videos to a song I really like. Y'know, guys, I only have so much money to buy albums with... I know, I know-- I'm late to the party as usual-- well, I'm here now and enjoying what I'm listening to.
I prefear this unofficial video with the italian showoman Raffaella carrà! she is great. A beautiful video, realized from Tv show "Milleluci". I love this song!
I do remember this tv show ! I was little..... by the way , the girl dancer is the Italian icona since '70 ? Maybe few years before , and she still play at tv shows ! even the new Italians generation loves her ....by the way , I do still dance either ! By the way , very danceable song , but the real '70 .....unforgettable !
No idea what this original video is or who the blonde lady is or what the original song was but this is the most magnificent thing I've seen on TH-cam.
"The blonde lady" is (or rather was, since she died three days ago at 78) Raffaella Carrà; she began as an actress and especially as a dancer who featured in Italian tv shows, from the late 60's onwards, then went on to become also a singer and a tv presenter. She was wildly popular in the 70's, and stayed popular in the following years, not only in Italy, but also in Spain and in Latin America mainly. The choreography is from a tv show called "Milleluci" ("A thousand lights"), that aired in 1974 and was presented by her together with Italian singer Mina (also one of the most celebrated Italian pop singers, very well known thanks to her distinctive voice and oustanding vocal abilities).

This is just so fabulous! I do have a question though - do you guys have a higher resolution version of it? I would love to really be able to see it without it getting choppy. I can't believe I've never seen this one before...
OKAY for real now! It was shot in some wonky Italian TV format, 2", 3" Quad Recorder or whatever! It's an old Italian mad TV dance number. And you, Sam, laid in that lead singer. All over the place. So you time-based it, smoothed it out, tracked it, replaced the backgrounds and laid our man Jackson in on top. Even to the ending scene -- obscured as it is by the TH-cam windows -- where the original performer is sitting with and congratulating the lead dancer gal. Your directing consisted of matching camera perspective and the movement of Mr. Jackson. Nice. Amazing work and between the energy of the music and the crazy dance number-- vastly entertaining.
I wouldn't have known this wasn't original Saint Motel if the comments hadn't led me to the original Italian footage. To be fair, My Type works so much better with the choreography than the original music.
DEFINITIVE 70s RETRO VIBE DISCO FUN in the aughts - so way cool and brilliant -2 hot videos, same song, even cooler - cheers and happy new year 2017!! DAVEDJ
It's an old ballet of the Italian TV RAI from the show "Milleluci" (1974) with Raffaella Carrà and Adriano Celentano
francecampi - More people should get to see the original performance, because that is very good too! Not at all what I expected it would be like! 😃🎶

somehow that is beyond perfect for the charming retro and sleazy vibes here. feels like something made before anyone knew how to use green screen
The original is a 1973 music video by Adriano Celentano - that song (literal gibberish) is an absolute banger

Hanno fatto un video bellissimo : conoscevo la canzone dei Saint Motel ma non in questa versione. Bravi !
Sta canzone però è molto più bella di quella di Adriano. Ma naturalmente imho e con rispetto parlando 🙏
