I live in the desert, I have a whole weekend hike through a canyon and some other desert landscapes, all I’m bringing are my 50mm1.8, and my telephoto, I’m excited.

Sounds like your going to have a great weekend , good luck.
Very nice work!
Thanks for the comment
Absolutely
I’m impressed by how steady you consistently hold the camera at 1/10 second.
Hi , some shots were taken on a tripod , but that lense is so lite its easy to hold it with a slow shutter speed.
Really appreciated this Steve. Thank you!
Glad you liked it and cheers for the sub.
It’s good to sometimes go with one lens, nice and simple nice and light, good to hear the cuckoo too, haven’t heard one yet this year!
The one evening ,one lens worked a treat , there's cuckoo's galore in The New Forest , that's all I can hear lol.
Hi Steve that's a lovely little lens mate. love the New Forest I'm always out there some where thanks for sharing Steve keep it coming
Cheers Colin , if life didn't get in the way I would be out in the forest every day
Thanks for the inspiration. I am heading to the forest at dawn tomorrow with my 1.4 50mm and was looking for ways others had used it.
Hi Kerry , glad you found some inspiration , hope to shoot goes well in the morning.
What great wee lens and for that price. Nice one. Really loved the pano. That sun was amazing. The evening worked well for you.
Thanks Paul , the perfect evening photo shot , glad I only took the one lens.
I wanted a Nikon D500, but I traded my Nikon D7500 for a NikonD780. The 780 works the best in low light especially in the hockey arena.
Hi, had my D500 since it was launched , never let me down . The 780 looks a great bit of kit.
hello Howie ❤
Isn't d500 aps-c? So this 50mm is actually 75mm
Hi , its 50mm on an aps-c.

A 50mm lens is a good lens for landscape photography. Light to carry and allows to exit form the comfort zone of the zoom lenses..
Hi Riccardo , your right , light to carry but have to work a little harder to get the shot.
