I walked my butt to every job I got. No car at first. Talk about swallowing your pride. Ugh it was embarassing. All winter all summer. Just soul crushing but I didn't give up. God kept giving me more and more work. Now I work 3 days a week. It's physically demanding but I don't need the gym!!!
I really resonate with this message. Its why I dont feel comfortable around others. I never fit in and Im quite fine with that. I bask in solitude and have a very rich, inner world that I share with nobody. I intimidate others with my strangeness and intensity and i usually find mysel having to dim my inner shine just to blend in. When you can read your environment like a book and can predict peoples actions its torturous.
I felt most of my jobs were like walking into prison everyday. One former guy I knew now passed on couldn’t grasp work was work and you’re not there to find friends. You‘re there to ingratiate your employer. As Terry has stated, you have to find your passion so it doesn’t feel like daily misery and environment is a major factor. I didn’t like always being on edge around phony colleagues and their gossip and backstabbing actions.

Found my tribe in these videos lol Yeah the feeling on the edge gets me. I dont find the work an issue but that feeling just adds stress that I cant turn off when I am around these people. And its always the same ratios of these people, there always just enough of them to make the workplace unnecessary unpleasant. There are always people who just get it and respect your boundaries and then there are these demons...
I have no job....I don't tolerate disrespect checks or inconsiderate feelings....I walked away a month ago without telling them I quit but they never appreciated me.

Joel, I have quit about 60 jobs or maybe more since 2000 for the very reason you described. Envy, hostility, provocations, bad vibes is all I have found in the workplace. Even the way you type could be a source of envy. One soaks all that nebulous energy from those people and depletes your energy. Joel I have never heard this gem of information before and I've been around! Just recently, I quit a job in less than half an hour on the job! I have a hard time working for people. Partially due to being a leader, not a follower. Not everyone likes the beat of my drum and that is ok. When I work for someone else I feel limited. My voice and creativity pushed down, the feeling of being put in a box. I struggle with this, but still do what I need to do to get ahead. However, I have goals and dreams I am currently moving towards. A 9 to 5. What is that? More like 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. My co-workers ask me how I do what I do. They have a hard time just pushing through life. I refuse to be stagnant, my belief is in striving to better myself every moment I get a chance. Sometimes I fall short or even fail, but I don't let it keep me down. I dust off my knees and move forward. One step forward is better than those that are doing nothing. Walked away from a career making 140k+++ the last year I worked full time. Current tax rate @ 60%+++. Naw, I'm good with the struggle. Hardest decision I ever made... one of them for sure. Best decision I ever made... probably.
Crazy how this came up after I've been thinking so much to leave my full time job also after they started tripping I was late even though haven't been for months. I'm not happy and they say if your not then to leave because it's not meant for you I feel that I can do bigger and better things.

I refuse to work a 9-5 to receive a measly pay cheque only to be taxed heavy on when I clearly put in the blood, sweat, tears, and work for the government didn’t do diddly squat to fulfill their end of the deal to use the taxes correctly and morally this isn’t a disrespectful dig at the labour movement I do however believe that they’re doing a fantastic job I also refuse to settle for less than what I deserve and if I have to bleed, and experience late nights, then it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make in order to accomplish getting more done throughout the day! I used to work in a hospital with over 4000 people and they knew who I was at first sight. They would role their eyes and shake their heads at me while I was saying good morning to them. It was the strangest bad dream that I just kept on living called work. People that made way more money than me still teaming up with others to go against me. People were unable to go out a scratch on my armor with as many people forms against me as possible. I knew they could see something in me and were so busy putting dirt on my name everyday.
Darkest of times...totally agree; I have a brother-n-law and a full blood line sister who are CORPORATE level; their Psychology is totally different from mine and I personally know my brother-n-law is trying to sabotage the one thing I enjoy a lot...my cycling/camping. I know he thinks I should be in a 9-5 position; not happening! I think I knew these types of jobs weren’t for me because of the types of conversations I’d have with people. Don’t get me wrong, most people were cool and we’d talk about psychology, biology, culture, therapy etc….at my barista job. I would make the environment fun and shed light onto areas people never fully understood but it left me feeling as though I had to change people. I think ultimately people who can’t work conventional (structured jobs, take your break at this specific time, follow this routine) don’t thrive because we are open minded and think out of the box. We question authority, we are innovative, we don’t wanna do things the way they’ve always been done, we can see beyond the product and see the bigger picture but most People can’t.

I’ve tried multiple times working 9-5 jobs. And, I see a consistent pattern of either management being toxic/evil or employees complaining that they don’t get paid enough. I usually just tell them if you hate the job why stay? When your full potential will blossom somewhere else. I had to give up my full time job because I felt uncomfortable with the people and because it felt like prison. I now feel free as the wind, I can go anywhere I want, when I want. Jesus really does set the captives free and gives life more abundantly and yet I lack nothing, im fully content. Many people fail to realize that what you own and how you care for it and show it to the world reveals a lot about who and what you are as an individual. I was influenced by my mother who was a Homemaker and an excellent one at that. My father was the influencer of education, and work, and his mother (when she was living) the influencer of creativity and growing in knowledge and music to other creative talent. However as the one in my immediate family as often earning 'A' grades in academics and participating in various creative talents, I was still perceived as the "Black Sheep" of the family.

I think you may be being too hard on yourself . At one point of my life I had everything. I had a nine to five job plus I started three other businesses. I thought I had a great life. 5 years ago got fired from my job. Went through a terrible divorce. Seemed like I lost my life. Lost everything I work so hard for . Things still aren't good but I guess they could be way worse. I thank God for what I still have today.

Etc And I'm not even talking about the toxic ones like even a lot of just normal healthy minded people Everyday average people, a lot of them have really terrible trouble When it comes to things like being assertive, or setting boundaries or just communicating in a very direct way And they won't necessarily be bad people or troublemakers, but just maybe extremely introverted or they just don't feel comfortable speaking up for what they need or their rights or whatever the case But a lot of them don't realize how that type of hesitation, and the way they fumble over themselves like that it really causes problems for everybody Because the more direct people have to spend a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what it is they need and want and it can just cause terrible traffic jams of miscommunication And then hurt feelings because of misunderstandings and oh my God it's giving me a panic attack just thinking about all of that entanglement 😆 And that's just the good people normal people, now if I want to mention the really toxic people Oh my God like the really toxic, hypersensitive or fragile narcissistic types who don't want to work on their issues Oh my God they are far far worse When they get in the midst of authenticity Oh my God they start melting down like hissing and foaming at the mouth like a bunch of vampires They can't stand being around an authentic person, and those types of people will deliberately go out of their way Unlike the normal average person who may just be tongue-tied or a little bit low vibrational and not know how to communicate well but not necessarily mean spiteful and narcissistic No those other types of really super toxic and highly narcissistic will go out of their way To try and take an authentic person down, to try and trip them up and do anything they can to them It's just crazy But yes with a person like that it's like throwing holy water on them or something when an authentic person is in the room By saying authentic person I'm referring to the same thing as Chosen One Because they are super authentic and they work on that all of their life For me it has been a process, since coming from a childhood of trauma and abuse And having all kinds of my own terrible issues to work through over my life it has been A lifelong learning process and study, an eternal student learning and growing daily And I'm very devoted to that, I've made a lot of mistakes and bad choices but I'm very devoted to Being as authentic and true to myself as I possibly can and my own path And I've had a lot of heartbreak and I've had to lose a lot of people because of it Because exactly what you're talking about, it can be a very lonely path to be an authentic human being And dedicated to your own mental emotional and spiritual growth and progress And it's okay if those other people want to be that way But like you're saying it's just not cool because a lot of them really do want to come at us, the people who want to be authentic and work on it Those of us who are not afraid to step up not afraid to speak out, who are higher functioning, vibrating higher whatever the case is They don't need to hate us for it, if they would spend that time and energy working on their own evolution, they would get somewhere. I refuse to work a 9-5 to receive a measly pay cheque only to be taxed heavy on when I clearly put in the blood, sweat, tears, and work for the government didn’t do diddly squat to fulfill their end of the deal to use the taxes correctly and morally this isn’t a disrespectful dig at the labour movement I do however believe that they’re doing a fantastic job I also refuse to settle for less than what I deserve and if I have to bleed, and experience late nights, then it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make in order to accomplish getting more done throughout the day!
P.S I don’t have anything against those that want to settle for less than what they deserve ITS JUST NOT ME and I can’t nor won’t allow these people close to me as their outlook towards life will eventually rub off on me that way then I can accomplish getting more done throughout the day without living within small thinkers minds etc.!

I used to work in a hospital with over 4000 people and they knew who I was at first sight. They would role their eyes and shake their heads at me while I was saying good morning to them. It was the strangest bad dream that I just kept on living called work. People that made way more money than me still teaming up with others to go against me. People were unable to go out a scratch on my armor with as many people forms against me as possible. I knew they could see something in me and were so busy putting dirt on my name everyday.

Darkest of times...totally agree; I have a brother-n-law and a full blood line sister who are CORPORATE level; their Psychology is totally different from mine and I personally know my brother-n-law is trying to sabotage the one thing I enjoy a lot...my cycling/camping. I know he thinks I should be in a 9-5 position; not happening! I quit teaching hs math as I could not stand many of the things you mentioned... But now am considering whether to go for a more prestigious career (ie doctor) or start my own business (more risky but could give me more time and freedom in the long run).

I think I knew these types of jobs weren’t for me because of the types of conversations I’d have with people. Don’t get me wrong, most people were cool and we’d talk about psychology, biology, culture, therapy etc….at my barista job. I would make the environment fun and shed light onto areas people never fully understood but it left me feeling as though I had to change people. I think ultimately people who can’t work conventional (structured jobs, take your break at this specific time, follow this routine) don’t thrive because we are open minded and think out of the box. We question authority, we are innovative, we don’t wanna do things the way they’ve always been done, we can see beyond the product and see the bigger picture but most

I appreciate this message. Time after time again I always come to a problem dealing with people or on the job. I literally don't have to be doing anything it's weird! It never fails people look at me strange, I always have trouble on the job with people, people don't like me for no reason,
I’ve tried multiple times working 9-5 jobs. And, I see a consistent pattern of either management being toxic/evil or employees complaining that they don’t get paid enough. I usually just tell them if you hate the job why stay? When your full potential will blossom somewhere else. People need to think these things instead of projecting on other people who are going through something similar or worse.

I had to give up my full time job because I felt uncomfortable with the people and because it felt like prison. I now feel free as the wind, I can go anywhere I want, when I want. Jesus really does set the captives free and gives life more abundantly and yet I lack nothing, im fully content. Only thing missing is God himself in the flesh however I believe hes coming back sooner then we think. Amen.

I see people who have a house (I live in an apt.) and their house is a pig sty! Many people fail to realize that what you own and how you care for it and show it to the world reveals a lot about who and what you are as an individual. I was influenced by my mother who was a Homemaker and an excellent one at that. My father was the influencer of education, and work, and his mother (when she was living) the influencer of creativity and growing in knowledge and music to other creative talent. However as the one in my immediate family as often earning 'A' grades in academics and participating in various creative talents, I was still perceived as the "Black Sheep" of the family.

I think you may be being too hard on yourself . At one point of my life I had everything. I had a nine to five job plus I started three other businesses. I thought I had a great life. 5 years ago got fired from my job. Went through a terrible divorce. Seemed like I lost my life. Lost everything I work so hard for . Things still aren't good but I guess they could be way worse. I thank God for what I still have today.

people are taken aback by it, yes, cringe, and offended.... Because people are so used to dumbing down, being fake... Etc
And I'm not even talking about the toxic ones like even a lot of just normal healthy minded people
Everyday average people, a lot of them have really terrible trouble
When it comes to things like being assertive, or setting boundaries or just communicating in a very direct way
And they won't necessarily be bad people or troublemakers, but just maybe extremely introverted or they just don't feel comfortable speaking up for what they need or their rights or whatever the case
But a lot of them don't realize how that type of hesitation, and the way they fumble over themselves like that it really causes problems for everybody
Because the more direct people have to spend a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what it is they need and want and it can just cause terrible traffic jams of miscommunication
And then hurt feelings because of misunderstandings and oh my God it's giving me a panic attack just thinking about all of that entanglement 😆
And that's just the good people normal people, now if I want to mention the really toxic people
Oh my God like the really toxic, hypersensitive or fragile narcissistic types who don't want to work on their issues

When they get in the midst of authenticity

They can't stand being around an authentic person, and those types of people will deliberately go out of their way

And I've had a lot of heartbreak and I've had to lose a lot of people because of it

And dedicated to your own mental emotional and spiritual growth and progress
And it's okay if those other people want to be that way
But like you're saying it's just not cool because a lot of them really do want to come at us,

I worked public jobs for a number of years.... But I had to stay in a very fast pace food service industry, mostly places that left room for creative freedom and where they didn't micromanage
But after that I became self-employed and I'm going to remain that way...
