Love that styled thumb nail 😎 Your repair strategy's as good as your can make it. Volvo parts tend to be expensive in my experience .. add the phrase boat and i can well imagine.
Hi! Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching! She’s been in TX, getting some good land life break. But, we’re thinking about bringing her back to the boat this summer for a bit as we miss her. ❤️
Just a suggestion: A Victron Multi plus inverter has a power sharing feature that may resolve your watermaker start-up load problems. If you had a 3000 watt multi plus inverter it is able to share the load between the battery and the generator giving you enough juice to overcome the start load. Check your specs first and check your watermaker using grid power to confirm proper operation. Honda generators can also be paralled together using multiple generators to give more amps. Check TH-cam for more info an generator parrales
Great suggestions and probable solutions. Fortunately we got the diesel genny fixed recently! 🙏🎉 Back up and running till the next problem 😂 If it goes out again, we will definitely do the inverter idea
I know I am a little late with this question, but is there a reason you did not haul out in Stock Island next to Key West. Robbies boat yard is where a lot of the charter cats haul out for service. They have been very helpful to me in the past.
Hey Tim! Thanks for the intel. I think we were pressed on time and we were under the impression that there wasn’t anywhere else around that could haul out for our ridiculous width. lol we’re way too wide for many of those lifts. When we asked around, we were advised to go to Key Largo 🤷
In my next to last lifetime, I was a part owner of a boatyard and a Lloyds Yachts Surveyor. Every boat I surveyed with a Sail drive, I advised the parties to run, not walk away. Sail Drive is the worst idea ever. You still have an engine, what’s the problem. I owned a Prout Quasar for almost 30 years. Only used both engines when docking in a marina.

As an owner of a Yanmar saildrive I feel your pain, but Yanmar’s are no better. As a big fan of Key West I thank you for the tour. (I miss Key West!). Great video! I’m a new subscriber!
Unfortunately. Our sub doing the fiberglass repairs is in a major tiff with the yard and we are stuck in the middle. Very frustrating. Was hoping to be on a mooring in Dinner Key by now! @LivinLaVidaGypsea
Great capture of boat life and great attitudes, love Key West too
Gotta keep the crew morale up!
Hi prima! Loving the TH-cam channel 😊 thanks, Arianna ❤❤❤
Best with your issue's. Key West was a blast, thanks for taking us with you!
Thanks for coming along! 🙌
At 2:23 you can see my brothers boat the "Double floater" a 46' Leopard, did you happen to meet Scott and Cat?
That’s pretty cool! We didn’t though :(

It’s ridiculous how much money you put on ONE thing.
I wish your boat problems would stop. Nice video guys!
We see the light at the end of the tunnel. We hope 🥹🙌
Thanks guys!
Our pleasure!
Not a bad place to be stranded!
Definitely got lucky on this one! 🤣
Hi.. we love to watch your videos! Where is your dog? We haven’t seen him in the latest episodes.

We’re heading to a location where we need to motor a lot to dodge reef and other things. So for us, having both engines running was crucial 😅

Obnoxious....I am done with you guys.

You should not own a boat…
Well, that’s a shame. Because we’ve owned this one for 3 years 😂
