Dogs are amazing and very loving. They are also pack animals, which means they behave best when they understand their place in the pack. They continually will assess their standing in the pack and test the other pack members. Some of the videos clearly show the dog taking dominant stances with the infants. This can lead to a bad situation if the dog believes the infant is testing their place in the pack. There’s nothing reckless about it. A properly socialized dog will see its humans as part of its pack and dogs by nature are protective of the members of their pack ESPECIALLY the little ones. You probably don’t know this but “scary” pit bulls were originally bred as nanny dogs for children because they are extremely loyal and protective. The only times you have dogs that attack humans is when they have been mistreated or flat out been trained to be aggressive. To attack a member of ones one own pack is not normal dog behavior. I had a Rottweiler when my kids were little and heaven help anyone who tried to hurt my kids around that dog.

The first dog I had named Jake bit me in the face when I was 3. It was my fault for pulling his tail. Ironically though years later my grandparents got a big dog and they named him Jake too. The new Jake was a super sweet gentle giant who tolerated a lot considering he let me try to ride him like a horse (I thought big dogs could be rode like horses at the time). Even though I referred to the second Jake in the past tense he is still alive today at 16 years old which is 2 years past his average life span.
3 year olds are never at fault, it was the dog owners fault for not paying attention to their doggies behavior or hierarchy tx dog whisperer. That said I was 8 or 9 and was getting all smoochy and huggy with our mut who had a bone and he mauled my face into hamburger, we ever acted that way before and he never acted that way again. My parents put him down a few weeks after I was out of the hospital. Still not my fault as kids will be kids, but my family clearly didn't understand dog behavior. Also we had a toy poodle my mommas co-worker dumped on us as they moved to Texas. That little bitch literally bit us kids every day of her life. I'm not sure if I'd let a big dog lay with my baby. I don't think that they'd hurt them, but accidents happen, and a dog that size can hurt a baby if they maybe fall on them or accidentally roll over with them. It's just not a chance I personally would take
I honestly feel that the best nanny dog in this video the French mastiff aka Dogue De Bordeaux. They have patience and we know babies kick and pull...and they're so calm about it.
I love these videos and I know a dog owner really knows his dogs well to allow these interactions BUTI still get a little antsy when I see a pit bull so close to an infant.
Pits are just like any other dog. It depends on how you raise them. Same temperament, they are just built for fighting, doesn't mean you have to raise them to fight.
@@IlllIlIIllllIllIIIlIllI I agree it’s all on the owner and how they raised the dog but not all owners are good owners and they may place a young child in potential danger, I mean those incidents do happen you see it often in the news. I don’t mean to generalize about a breed my point is I just get a little anxious when is see it.
FTR I used to own a full breed Pitbull as a puppy to fully grown, and those dogs are THEE WORST dogs for defense or home security if you actually love and take care of the animal naturally. They love everybody almost to a fault, if a burglar broke into your house he could easily make off with your things including the dog because he's not going to bite you or announce your presence by constant barking. Pitts can suck when you take them around other dogs mostly
Start knowing the human been I began loving animals!!! Many people who give dislike to videos like this, should learn from animals, love and care are free, don't cost nothing, but I guess that is for people with a ❤️, not for the ones empty inside!!!
Let me start this comment with this, I love all animals, including pit bulls and rottweilers. But having said that, the people who pose babies with " attack first dogs " like pit bulls and pit bull mixes should be ashamed of themselves. I get it, you love your baby and your furry baby. Cool. But what you are really doing is making a statement that " see how gentle and loving my little pittie is." That is perpetuating a false narrative. Pit bulls and pit bull mixes are 6 percent of the dog population. They are responsible for 66 percent of all dog bites and 54 percent of all dog maulings. As a police officer I responded to many, many dog attack calls. Most were attacks by pit bulls or pit bull mixes. 7 of the maulings resulted in the death of the victim, 4 of them children. 2 of the 4 were babies. So I'm sick and tired of people saying that it is the fault of bad abusive owners. No it is because a breed of dog that has been trained for over 200 years to attack first, sometimes attacks first.
I love dogs and have several but there are breeds that don’t belong in family life. I’ve heard all the stories like how wonderful they are, until that one time that they turn! You’re talking like Mrs. Fluffy, be realistic and know that some dogs are just plain dangerous. Why owners don’t pick breeds that are more affable I really don’t know. They’re not status symbols to make owners look tough, they’re bloody dangerous animals and in the wrong hands just terrifyingly lethal.
@@thomasrocker7408 Omg, thank you for your comment. You’ve said exactly what I e been trying to say but with much better clarity. I agree wholeheartedly with every word you say. Please, anyone reading this, take heed because what this man is saying is absolutely right 👍👍👍
I know your intention is to make your little doggie sentiment incredibly sweet and heartwarming but it really isn't.
@@johancon What an ignorant statement. So what you're saying is there are just as many dogs on video mauling little kids as there is dogs playing or cuddling with them? One of the dumbest comments I've ever read on youtube and that's saying a lot.
All of my friends got puppy's a few weeks after there child was born and no one messes with those children when the dog's around...
If you do you'll soon learn a valuable lesson on how protective a dog can be... There's no bad dog's just shitty owners who won't put the time into the animal and I'd trust and animal before a human any day...
Che dolcezza questi cagnolini, meravigliosi
Would chase after pedestrians and bite them and bicyclists and even the snow plow which would bury her dumbass in 3 feet of snow. Ahh the 70's & 80's :D
Ya a dog attack is not a 3 year olds fault ever. Owner or the parents.
It was never your fault despite what your parents told you. They should never have put you in that situation.
Better keep it well fed. The wolf is always at the door. 🎩
All fun and games until the dog bites or kills the child, then everyone will plead ignorance to the danger that was always there.
There is inherent danger in live statistically you are far more likely to be killed by human

@@JW0143 And what’s wrong with that. You see, people look at videos like this and some are stupid enough to think that these dogs are soft and fluffy and cuddly, until they hurt/kill a child. Your comment was a bit silly really.
Grazy dangerous
okay i love dogs. but I would never let one sleep with my baby.
True they could hurt them on accident

What will be happening if some day the sweet dog 🐶 choose to eat the baby.
That's exactly what happens, these are the sort of people that end up with dead babies. I love my dog, had him 10 years longer than I've had my daughter but I would never let him this close to an infant, only takes a second.
Yes you are right ! You never know what's in a dog's mind no matter how long you have it..
These parents need to read or watch the news more!! A lady had 2 pets dogs for years she walked them in the woods every day, one she was so late getting back home her husband went to look for her and when he found her in the woods where she has walked her dogs for years..founded his wife being eaten by her loving pets!! They had decided to attack her for some reason and then eat her!! It was terrible!! Is shows you never really know what's on your loving sweet pet that you aloud to lick on your child!!! How dumb and foolish you people are!!
Simply beautiful! Wonderful!
Nothing is more precious than a dog and a baby..well, a kitten and a baby or a puppy and a kitten ..also precious 😍

That’s how they get their immune system stronger. It the sterile brigade that I worry about.
I had a staffy, that had been taken away from people who were fighting the dog....... he would always lay next to my baby children guarding them from people coming in my house .... NEVER a danger to the babies ....
As long as you kept it well fed. Idiot.
Dogs are cute and i love them but a lot of these are not safe looking. Any animal including humans can snap on a dime. Anyways
So by your logic the baby should not be near their mom or dad cause they could "snap on a dime"
Dogs are smart. They are actually very tolerant of babies and won’t snap
....really..
They are still wild animals , however cute or domestic they are
@@Havanacuba1985 no they are not dogs are not naturally occurring their human made mutant versions of wolves they are not wild animals

My favorite is the dog pushing the stroller.
You must take care with dogs! Please note it's an animal!
Thanks the dogs put up with for their kids

I thought my service dog would only leave slack in the leash for me. Nope, she did it for my little cousin as my little cousin would take my dog on walks. lol. her human. i was just second fiddle.
me gusta el perro que está cuidando a chuchil
I don't see any reason to put dogs in the faces of infants as much as I love them both.
Exactly
Agree i would never forgive myself when one of those kids hurt my dog ...
Dogs be like no it’s my baby… i remember my pittbull bloo (rip) used to lick my stomach when i was pregnant. Animals know when we’re pregnant wayyy before we do. They can also tell when we’re ovulating and on our cycle
How can they tell, where does it lick

Pit bulls were never nanny dogs, that is a myth. Pit bulls and other types of dogs were put in rooms in Victorian England to keep rats off of the children.

Animals are more caring, sensitive, gentle, empathetic than humans to one another or against other species.
...in your personal experience of humans....
Dogs are okay as long as the parents are there watching, but never ever leave babies with dogs alone.
I'm not sure if I'd let a big dog lay with my baby. I don't think that they'd hurt them, but accidents happen, and a dog that size can hurt a baby if they maybe fall on them or accidentally roll over with them. It's just not a chance I personally would take
Those big dogs have teeny tiny puppies, I wouldn‘t worry too much.
@@ArDeeMee true, but human babies are a little bit more squishy than puppies.
I honestly feel that the best nanny dog in this video the French mastiff aka Dogue De Bordeaux. They have patience and we know babies kick and pull...and they're so calm about it.
When our son came home from the hospital. He feel asleep with our pug laying beside him
I love these videos and I know a dog owner really knows his dogs well to allow these interactions BUTI still get a little antsy when I see a pit bull so close to an infant.
Shame on you 😂
Pits are just like any other dog.
@@FINEST-uz9ek have you seen those black & photos from Victoriana times in Britain???

I just wish people would listen. A 10 year old boy was just killed by a pit bull mix just last week, not that far away from where I live. It’s not just small children that they can harm. Please, anyone reading this, take heed because what this man is saying is absolutely right 👍👍👍
@@thomasrocker7408 actually pitbulls were developed to control livestock, Rottweilers were bred as working dogs, know your before opening your mouth

I've been told that our family dachshund used to guard my crib when I was a baby. She wouldn't let anyone but family near me.
I know your intention is to make your little doggie sentiment incredibly sweet and heartwarming but it really isn't. People who own dogs like that have dogs that are way too overprotective and have no place in society with that kind of temperament. Especially pitbulls, we really do not need any more of those shitbeasts.
