Don't forget to always have The Winner mindset: if you won a match, clearly, it was exclusively thanks to you. If you lost, it's definitely your single-celled teammates fault.
To those of you struggling to learn sub-strafing: splatoon 2 salmon run. I went from not knowing how to sub-strafe for years, to learning it in just a couple of hours. Play it for a little while, and you'll learn the trick purely out of fear Another tip for people who get angry easily: if you're absolutely 100% confident the enemy team is going to win, your new goal is *don't let them knockout.* If you're going to go down, make em fight for it. Who knows, your team might accidentally get the upper hand
3:10 some charge type weapons can also main strafe, but usually only their lightweight counterparts. ie: reeflux. at least for reeflux (edit: just checked and all charge weapons, including splatanas, can do this) there's little to no delay and you don't even have to fire any ink. arguably even better than shooter main-strafing
Tbh the hand exercise thing isn’t stated enough. I recently had pain in my index finger from playing splatoon which started as a slight aching and I really wish I had known how bad it can get. Ofc it varies, I play tri slosher in high x rank so I’m clicking ALOT, but it’s important to be careful even casually, or you may end up not even able to play for months on end. (Also merry Christmas, splatoon got you crippling hand pain!)
You know after falling into the christmas pre stacks that just...lets not talk about those! I definatly needed to hear this - am learning motion controls and splatana so its a whole new world to me right now (I furget i can snap turn noaw :O) so being put on a timmy team while facing X rankers mucking around, yeah, I really need to chill out. The games meant to be fun and I'm furgetting that! :D Am a goofy squid and I can't bring the fun if I'm not playing. And hell...I never got good at brush overnight so that's gonna be the same for tana and motion! Thanks for the pep talk ~ Okita needed it
I'm really just here to check if this video is giving out correct advice and it passes the test. Also, if anyone needs advice on AOE weapons like buckets or blasters, see this comment as an open invitation to ask those questions. I may not be the best player, but I played comp for about a year and have pu 975 hours into just Splatoon 3 alone, so feel free to ask me stuff if you feel you need help.
I recommend buying a hand gripper so you can control exactly where you wanna throw your controller at mach ten! (Also it helps with carpal tunnel.) On a genuine note, Merry Christmas!

0:11 Very good book you were reading there, def did not expect to see that in a Splatoon video!

As a sticks inkbrush/sploosh player, I can confirm motion controls don't exist
Genuinely thanks a ton
motion controls do not equal motion sickness folks,
it equals winning
I don't have Splatoon 3 but should work the same for 2
Man the players are gone
A lovely disjointed video :) When I am tilted I am done gaming for the day :)
As 25 shrimps, it's impressive we somehow made top 3000 since we're just a couple shrimps :P
0:05 I would’ve uninstalled...
couldn't even jolly my christmas yule log to this, splat tuah'd everywhere  (like discord)!
Thanks! I thought i was good since I beat after alterna and I don't have money so i use online trials
Oh yeah i got to A- in one week
Really useful video (me when decav)
Don't be like putz12. Simple. Been in PvP Hiatus for 7 months from gaming, and planning on returning because it's post-content era of Splatoon.
Thanks but I think I'll stick to being bad at the game Nower
