How happy and thrilled I was when I found that after so many years from that childhood I came to know from my mother that Nailini Chandran ( I call her Nailini Nethyar ) was going to start a school for small children in 1978 August. More proud to say that my eldest son is the first student of HariSri. Also I am very proud that I was a student of her as well as my three children.
Amazing, this kind of teachers are very rare. The greatness of the teacher is that , she carries on the high level of energy levels in mind ,body and brain .very rarely we meet people like her in our life. I really appreciate Nalini teachers body language and strong postures and language. I think you are blessed to have a true teacher and presence of her today. How I used to look forward to the Shakespeare class she taught. This was such a nostalgic trip down memory lane Sharath. This video has been executed so aesthetically and beautifully! This brought back so many memories from school assemblies to the extracurricular forms we were given at the beginning of term, the samosas at the tuck shop, the school trips and some incredible teacher’s… the list is endless. I don't dispute the fact that she is a good/great teacher. However that doesn't justify her speaking in English to a former student of hers when both know their mother tongue. It would have been perfectly justifiable if her audience had comprised a non- Malayali or multi-lingual audience. English has its due place in this global world but it should not get precedence when your mother tongue can very well serve the purpose.
