- There was drama at a fundraiser in Kakamega County after goons attacked Mumias East MP Peter Salasya. the first time mp while addressing the congregation questioned kakamega governor fernandez barasa's role in reviving the ailing sugar industry when a gentleman belived to be the governors supporter snatched the microphone from him precipitating the chaos. police were forced to intervene to restore law and order.
