This video suddenly appeared today on my TH-cam. I remembered my Goan visiting days. We used to visit Goa for industrial work. In morning, we first rushed in local hotel and ordered this dish. Puri bhaji. A fix dish for morning breakfast. Sometimes 'buns ' instead of Puri. This is food of their local lebours, workers, fisherman and many of them. A simple but very tasty and pocket friendly too. Thank you for appearance today. 👍

I made this. I liked the recipe very much. The measurements and instructions are accurate to get a good result. I did not put all of 1/2 cup water and I added a teaspoon of coriander powder and half a chicken stock cube. I hope that doesn’t offend anyone 😅

Basically, even after you drain the hot water, the potatoes are still in its boiling stage, so to stop the cooking process, you run it under cold water.

In case if you would want to enhance its aroma...when oil is added to the pan and it gets heated...add one bay leaf, 1 badi ilaichi, 2 small ilaichi and one small piece of dalchini. Saute for a while till the oil absorbs those flavours and then in that oil add onions and rest of the ingredients. I tried it this week..aroma was good.
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy! However I'd prefer finely chopped ginger and eliminate the garlic, also finally dress with grated coconut and finely chopped coriander leaves.

I too prepare the same way but I add 1 tsp of oil and 1 tsp of ghee. It enhance the taste more. Try it. Thanks for sharing.

Why you washed boiled potatoes under tap water? Didn't mention this in video.
Basically, even after you drain the hot water, the potatoes are still in its boiling stage, so to stop the cooking process, you run it under cold water.
