Happy to see barn content ... love how you never cut out things, when they do not work out as planned ... honest car content , no fake stuff and super cuts to great content Wish you all the best in the next race, and hope to see more content that also make you happy as well
oh yeah sorry the transition to making the fuel system doesn't really make sense. I'm not sure what happened but I guess I didn't expect the brake job to drag on, and then forgot to explain what I was doing next. I have ordered a voice over rig this morning so I can start to add a bit more context while editing. You'll be seeing more of the fuel setup in the race video anyway... (modest spoilers)
Love that there is no bullshit with you Dan. It's hard working on cars, racing them, and having things smoothly. It must be even harder trying to make content while doing the same, often by yourself. Keep it up mate, best of luck in the next round.
Its nice to be able to have a Sunday and watch Danny DC2 once again.Keep up the good content,Nice to see its not only my car that constantly fights me even tho I buy it shiny things.
Just got back from the shed myself... new struts, springs and top mounts and now got an hours worth of extra shed to watch 👌💯 nice to see the doggos clip too man ❤
The Spoon caliper , I believe, are the only 4 pot caliper that can use the factory Honda style brake pad. I luv to use Alcon calipers with hawk dct 60 racing pad for my fwd endurance road race brake set up.
I have the same swirl pot + pump in my e36 328 however to keep the fuel pressure correct I had to run that pump at approx 75% speed or it overwhelms the regulator, being a 044 copy it flows a lot more than the factory system was designed for! Works great on track can hot lap until the fuel light.
I have the same buddy clubs Dan has and they fit over twin block Spoons with 282 and no spacer. His issue is 300mm discs and mono blocks being larger. Can’t see your ET40 working either personally. Too high offset.
Im only half way through, so I dont know if you have a plan for the gearbox or if you figure it out or whatever but when Ive had to hunt down the source of leaks before Ive had good success with cleaning up the whole area and then covering it in talcum powder. Makes it super easy to figure out where the leak is coming from.
Love watching these type of videos, but i struggle to understand why you have mounted the swell pot behind the drivers seat and not on the passenger side, condidering you spend so much time adjusting weights and corner balancing etc 🤔
Wouldnt suggest runnung the caliper so close to the barrel, would split the barrel under repeated braking yall play with yall lives a bit too much and too freely...but if you get it done and not end up in the barriers then more power to ya
@dannyDC2 well its gonna expand under heat the rim will as well, so you may get away with it. But to answer tou directly: by acting like a lathe, either rge caliper gonna rub down or the barrel gonna rub down. Let it be known i could be wrong altogether
Help me people, I want a track car for sub £10k, decided I don’t want a track prepped 172/182 because of my lack of confidence in gearbox reliability. My two requirements are that it won’t break down and that it’s fun.
@ what should I do Dan? Help me please. I could buy a cheap dc2. But am I better buying something that’s fully track prepped? Or am I better off going the Westfield route?

Welcome to the channel if you new 😂😂😂😂😂
Great video Dan considering the bucket had it in for you 😆 🤣
Holy shit the Stretton throwback caught me off guard man. Where the fuck has time gone

Thanks for getting my note re: Christopher Walken and wires. Much appreciated.
hmmm 🤔
@
Hmmm indeed.
There is nothing more relatable than your wrench falling into the bucket of fluid, and then the bucket proceeding to fall over 😂
Glad to see you went with a swirl pot in the end.
Excited to see how the endurance upgrades pan out on track.
Love that the DC2 Shooting Brake is always hanging about in the background
Well in Danno, that was an epic 👊🏼
Nice to see Jackie putting in a cameo... 😀
Relatable as always Dan, love to see it 😂👌🏼
Danny is running a Honda Civic, with Spoon calipers! Niccce.

Nice one bro, sunday sorted!
music choice has been impeccable lately mr dan

Those calipers look beefy

thats interesting, i presume you have a factory regulator? I have an aftermarket one and the fuel pressure remained consistent
wheely good video
Nice video, get ya sen a set of crows feet for the fuel fittings in the tight box (oh errr) handy for other bits too, everyone loves a new tool.
yeah seems like a good idea, they are a funny size though, bigger than a 17 but smaller than a 18.
11/16s would be the size.
@ ah yeah, pipe stuff always seems to have a nasty habit of being imperial sizes. Keep up the good work man. Good stuff 👌🏼🫡
11:55 that caliper is a stunner
Did I hear you say 28mm spacer at the end there? Don't want a scrutineer to know that.
is there a limit?
@@dannyDC2 25mm is the maximum you're allowed and they can't be stacked spacers. It has to be one piece.
If your struggling for wheels Dan, I have speedlines that have good brake clearance on my spoon twin blocks, 15x7 et40 your welcome to try
I have the same buddy clubs Dan has and they fit over twin block Spoons with 282 and no spacer. His issue is 300mm discs and mono blocks being larger.
Can’t see your ET40 working either personally. Too high offset.
@ nah I know, just mine are flat face, there’s like 10/20mm gap from the caliper and the rear face of the wheel
I tried on some speedline 2118 a few weeks ago. 15x7 ET38, didn't fit
@ ahh right, these came off an evo so had decent brake clearance
Whelp, that's got me feeling better about the fuel coupling I've got to do to my car. You've not been taking your vit d3 lad!
huh

talcum powder lol, never heard of that before
@@dannyDC2 Yeah the trickle of oil will leave a really clear line through the powder and you'll see exactly where it's come from

Wider front width makes the steering more aggressive, wider rear width makes the care more stable into a corner
in theory right, in execution it didn't feel so good
Skim the calipers for clearance? May only need a mm off it. Could wrap the inside of an alloy with sand paper and leave it in gear for a few hours XD
haha its not that bad
You want a crows foot for those fuel fittings...
interesting
Ive also heard team dynamic wheels fit over these brakes, cant remember the model number though
yes heard the same about TD 1.2
@dannyDC2 I think the ones I was told are the pro race 1
