I miss this side of Chillhop. I love lo-fi but it's over-saturated. These mixes and the City Nights mixes are timeless and peak Chillhop and I still come back to them all the time. Still haven't found a better boom-bap/hip-hop mix than City Nights.

Its 2:15 in the morning as I am listening to this. Its a fairly warm spring night. I grab my stuff and decide to go for a late night cruise with my bike. Its 2:30am, I‘m ready to go. As I cruise down this warm, and rainy night I realize I‘m the only one around. The streets are empty. There are no cars, no people no sound, nothing. Just me and my bike on the empty road listening to this masterpiece. I get down to the lake as I find myself a cozy place at the pier. I light up my first cigarette watching the city lights. I inhale and exhale while I see lights flickering in the distance. I take another puff from my cigarette. Its 3:00 am now. I take my bike and head mindlessy to those empty streets again searching for my next spot. As I head down the road I find myself a tree next to the lake. I lay down on these massive roots watching the clear Sunday night stars. The rain is pouring over me, I don‘t mind as I enjoy the infinite and mesmerizing night. Now another cigarette lit up. This is my last one as I hear nothing but the sound of my burning cigarette. I exhale while the smoke is slowly fading across my face up to the sky. I look at my phone. Its 3:30 now. Time for my little journey to come to an end. Once again I return to the streets slowly riding my bike back to home. I get back home. Its 4:00 am now…
