I love this pas de deux. It's very old-fashioned and corny, but all the better for that! Maria Bylova was a fabulous dancer, and I love the Bolshoi's athletic approach to dancing. So pleased to see this again.
This is a perfect exemple of what the Bolshoi was all about years ago, different aproach from the Kirov, they were very showy, these two are awsome! Thanks for this post, most enjoyable, doublechatnoir

@slobbergob Amen! I've seen more videos of this ballet than is good for my mental health. But this performance always comes out on top, and always breaks me up besides. It is my favorite ballet as well. But to be them? No, I'd rather watch. A lot.

this couple of 80's is still rather good in it ,expecially bilova that is not afraid going for the big jumps,but the boy already has not the strenght of vlasov imo,but sureliy better that perren lobhukin that are too far from that schooling,
Tremendous use of space, vertically and horizontally both! Some could MAYBE cover what they use in one dimension OR the other, but both simultaneously, that's power and strength! Only criticism, final lift not as exciting as some of the other endings I've seen. She seemed early and then he cut the energy between landing the seat-lift and the exit...

Perren did not dance with Lobukhin in Spring Waters - she was partnered by Marat Shemiunov. Lobukhin and Stashkevich are in Moscow Waltz.
