Formula WS6 1LE, the most perfect combination of all F-body option codes. Better looking than the Camaro in all aspects inside and out, less options and heft than a Trans Am (hence why before the 4th gen updated body styling/drivetrain SLP always used the Formula for the Firehawk), and rarity. I love how you did it proper where GM failed by putting the Trans Am hatch and wing on the car.

I am the original owner of a 1998 WS6 1LE with 32,000 miles. I enjoy the car and I had to show my kids how to roll up the windows...1998 WS6 1LE's came with AC, and I appreciate it!
The best of both worlds, I love the formula front end way better than the T/A/ front end, and often wished mine had that front end. But the WS-6 rear wing looks way better in my judgement... Good looking just the same!
I it had an LS1 stock from the factory it should have dual tips on the muffler. you only have one did you change muffler? you said your using a factory muffler
$10 or $11 Grand is a fair price for a WS6; even $15 Grand would be reasonable in great condition. For something as rare as a 1LE, to a potential collector, that's a steal. Note: This is a car that you want to keep as stock as possible. The 1LE isn't so much about what it has, but more about what it doesn't have. It's a minimalist track car for purists. Adding to it takes away from what it is. There's a lot of false info present in your video: The high-rise spoiler (And, it's a *spoiler*, not a wing. You mistakenly say "wing" far too often. A wing is an entirely different component used to create downforce. A spoiler is used to reduce overall drag.) was an option on both the Formula and the Trans Am. It may not have been equipped on that particular car, but it was available to that car from the factory. The only possible exception would be if the 1LE package removed this option to reduce weight; several components fall under this criteria, but I don't believe the spoiler to be one of them. You're also mistaking the difference between a base Firebird, a Firebird Formula, and a WS6 equipped Firebird; the first two are trim levels, the latter is a performance package. A Formula is *not* a base Firebird with a WS6 hood; it's the mid-tier Firebird, equipped with a V8 engine (the 4th gen base model has a V6). Both the Formula and the Trans Am could be equipped with the WS6 package, but (at least post 4.5) only the Formula could be equipped with the 1LE package, as it required removing "luxuries" that were standard on the Firebird Trans Am, and doing so mandated that the buyer chose the WS6 package, thus all 4.5 gen 1LE Firebirds are, by default, Formula WS6s. Conversely, while there are no 4.5 gen 1LE Trans Ams, WS6 T/As come with most of the 1LE's performance components stock. So, three trim levels and two packages were available (and then there were also the Firehawks).

If you check out my other videos, I go into more detail on the car as far as what makes a 1LE what it is, trim levels etc. The car has 108k on it, never gonna be a true collector car. Maybe if it had less than 20k miles on it, sure. I don't plan on selling it so I'm going to make it what I want. It will always be a 1LE car, and most of the 1LE specific parts are on it or still in my possession if I ever wanted to return to totally stock.
