Man, this channel consistently disappoints me since about mid-2023. In that time, you've produced less than a handful of truly satisfying videos that I would consider entertainment. I sure hope you back off this direction and start producing quality in the way you did every video 2 or more years ago.

    • @kelbale
      @kelbale 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@dingleyfarm I would have to disagree there. I liked German, don't get me wrong, but I like winning formulas (buy cars low, sell for profit) and Craig and his family more. I like people who copy and change slightly winning formulas that work for other people. Why we haven't seen a - Craig travels 1k miles away by air and drives a cool find back to the dealership - is beyond me. Works really good for VGG and others! I've commented a few times over the year that there is money to be made by going up to Canada (my country) and importing cars back to the US. I've never heard it mentioned in a video. It's like he's against the idea of making money sometimes. I'd understand if it made cool content, but i wouldn't call broken down Ferrari's and fire sales on Audi eTrons "good content". He doesn't value our suggestions.

Ferrari isn’t even junk. It’s just not a regular DD it’s a high performance vehicle that you get a proper PPI on and cover yourself when you buy, you don’t buy them unseen randomly from auctions then cry when they’re in bad shape. If you buy a 70% depreciated ANYTHING that’s 20+ years old from an auction you’re not going to expect it to be working properly. Ferraris just cost more and he can’t stomach that.

“As-is” means as is. The old auctioneer saying “if it breaks into two pieces after you buy it, you own both halves.” It’s a 20 year old Italian super car sold at a wholesale auction. In my opinion, this can’t be put on the auction. They represented it red light. You bought it with the price reflecting that risk level. If you’re looking for as is home runs, Ferrari is definitely not the place to look.

I’d probably just run it thru Mecum at Kissimmee (1/7-1/19) with a 88k reserve, maybe drop it to 83k if the bidding is close.

As a dealer myself up in Canada, had the same shituation with a red light Promaster with a bad head gasket (undisclosed) and nobody admitted that they knew anything about it. Bought from an auction and tried to make the same phone call and had the same result. "nothing we can do". And this isn't fair at all!! Luckily I was able to wholesale it and recover 80% of my money but everything was disclosed from my end to the new buyer. Anyways, good on ya for trying at least. I really want to hold these smaller auction companies liable for what they are running through their lanes, they need to be more informed on what they are acquiring before they are run through. Nice car though. I hope you get to enjoy it soon!!

If it started blowing hoses left and right, there's a high chance the exhaust gasses are in your cooling system.... Especially since it was overheating. If that's the case it would obviously need a complete engine rebuild due to blown gasket / warped block or even cracked head if someone went to town with it while it was overheating.

Sure enough the transmission hard shifts and drops into neutral. I just sent in the arb request I'm crossing my fingers they help me out on this one. If they don't I'm screwed, I paid for a green light car and if I'm stuck with it I have to sell it as a red light car. Did they perform a block test to see if there are HC’s in the cooling system ? The fact it is bursting hoses right after starting up means it could have excessive pressure and is just finding the weakest links in the system. You may have bigger problems epically if it was overheated multiple times.

Ok now that I have watched the video; this is not a big deal and the hose may not have been fully cut thru when it was inspected. The service was just a good idea and it is now a selling point. The overheat problem could have been fixed in under 30 minutes on a lift. So arbitration not necessary or warranted. If that is the only problem you encounter with this vehicle then its a good buy in my opinion.

Sounds like combustion gases in the cooling system from a bad head gasket causing hoses to burst.

I think you still have the case because they falsely advertised it without mentioning the overhating issue, even though the car was "AS IS".
However, they know people won't waste money on lawyers, lawsuits unless someone has a case. I would never however buy it sight unseen 58k with the listed car "as is" ... but that is why I am not a car dealer :)

It is a 20 plus year old vehicle. You bought as is. Inspection report gives you a general idea of vehicle. It is possible that the problem didn’t reveal itself at the time.
I helped a friend on a cros country move. Had car checked out before we left with all ok.
Air intake hose failed on day 2. The vehicle is 10 years old.
You are in the business and should know these things.

just take it to a exotic shop and get a full diagnostic inspection... i was a Audi tech for many yrs and i did pre-purchase and after purchase inspections alllll the time. just pay the fee and have it diagnosed. that should be standard course of action of every auction vehicle you buy.

The shop hit your car while it was stored there? I had two shops do that to me.. and hope I wouldn’t notice.. like the red light guy they will deny, deny, deny.. if you can convince them it wasn’t like that when you dropped it off your bill may drop to zero.. you should video the part when you approach the owner of the shop and ask him what happened?

I’m no mechanic and I am well aware that mechanics overcharge for easy repairs but dealing with a Ferrari it’s understood that whatever you are getting done, your bill will be a minimum of $5000

The Urus is very cool, but I just recently read a head-to-head comparison from Car & Driver that compared 6 or 7 different things between the Urus and the RSQ8, and the RSQ8 came out the winner. Have you driven one yet?

Hmmm. Smells fishy. Like the ocean. Repair bill should have some explanation of why it's $5,000. That can be looked over. The real question, wtf happened to the bumper! Was the car joy rode, bumped into by something, or replaced with that cracked bumper.! 😮
Looking for higher end sales can be worse then the poor guy tryna buy a Ford Taurus. Craig, take a moment for yourself, you're trying to get rid of headaches, not buy more of them.!!
Oh gosh, this is gonna be a wild ride I can see already.
