Thanks - glad you're liking them. Getting to the end of my empire I'm afraid. I only got into the Enz in 1983. I would love to have had footage from the 1979-1982 period when that lineup was really in the zone.

Who cares man. I'm a kiwi and let's just celebrate a great musician. Leave this nationalism crap out of the discussion.

Paul Hester, the joker, always trying to crack jokes or be funny, but as we know, many times the joker is not so happy inside. It seems he battled demons

Woodface is possibly their most internationally acclaimed album and even appears in the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die reference book, but I love the rest of their albums a great deal more as Woodface has some corny tunes on it. Time on Earth, Together Alone, Intriguer, Temple of Low Men, and their debut are far superior albums.

I agree. I really love There Goes God, Fall At Your Feet and Whispers And Moans. Beyond that, I think the albums is far inferior to their debut, Temple Of Low Men and my favourite Together Alone.

I always think of summer when I listen to woodface, because I bought it in July 1991 (release month) at the airport, just before flying to Tenerife and "wheather with you" was on heavy rotation on MTV.... still have the cd I bought back then

I can’t believe my claim to fame is I lost my virginity to Paul in 1975 at a party I had at my house when my mum was in hospital, Paul was a friend in our group of friends back in the day he played in my cousins band” Thunder” , I lost contact with him after he joined “Split Enz “
Was so shocked that morning to the news , Paul had a very strong personality, was incredibly funny but also very moody , looking back now I realise he was bipolar… RIP ❤

Funny, but they didnt actually tell us anything? Thats the problem when everyone is trying to 'out-funny' each other.

If you pay attention over the years, Neil Finn is brilliant at doing friendly chatty interviews without saying sweet fuck all. A true show biz professional. He's not the only one to do it that way. I love his music, but I prefer interviews with a bit more substance, like for example Lou Reed or Paul Simon. They tend to really talk about the music they are writing.

I liked Crowded House ideas in music. I dont like Like this interview at all. Working too hard in trying to be funny .Its off putting Sadly should stick to talking sense about their tour and music rather than manure.
