Blake Baker, Corey Raymond, Bo Davis, and Kevin Peoples has finally coached these kids up correctly and playing to their potential. I believe there is still alot of room for growth, we really do have alot of talent and athleticism. These coaches are just bringing it out. It's a beautiful thing to see.
"You can't just show up on Saturday and say 'hey, I'd like you to do this for me'" BK telling us exactly what the problem was. I was so thrilled with our hires back in January. Feels good seeing it payoff in year 1. When this gets rolling, watch out.
Weeks also said that in 2023 the defense was so complicated that he had to keep asking where and what to do. I’m sure Perkins suffered the same problem. Weeks just said on video that Blake Baker is the best coach he has ever had. And the defense is easy to understand
With how powerful offensives are these days, it's all about bending, not breaking. If we can stop touchdowns, and force mostly field goals, we'll normally win. That's the good thing about having a high power offense, the defense just has to compliment them.
@@FredPitre-o4b thank you bud. Those days of scoring less than 14 pts per game is over. I remember in the Les Miles era, LSU and Bama score would be 6-9. That's over with, these high power offenses put points on the board. I believe it truly comes down to who's gonna make less mistakes, who's gonna capitalize off turnovers and mistakes, and who can bend but not break on defense. It's almost a win these days to hold a team to a FG instead of allowing a TD.
It’s funny that I came to this video. I just watched Whit Weeks in a video “Blake Baker is the best coach I have ever had in my life” and he had a smile from ear to ear. That told me a lot watching that video
We're watching LSU (week by week) turn into a Brian Kelly Team.... Arkansas was the first iteration of its presence, but you can actively watch the morph happen this year
Outside of Ole Miss, and they didn't have their best WR for most of the 2nd half, name the best offense that LSU has played this year? Also, South Carolina lost their best running threat for most of the 2nd half of that game. A&M, Florida, Bama, Vandy, and Oklahoma all have not good offenses. So as long as the offense doesn't suck we shouldn't lose another game
If Jayden Daniels had this defense LSU WOULD BE CELEBRATING A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

What an astute observation my partner. In SEC play tiger defense has ONLY allowed FGs in 2nd half. NOT ONE TD scored on Blake Baker's D.

@@jacobmendoza1925 Score was LSU 9 bama 6. If Les would have adapted to the times he might still be coaching in BR.
Caught this SUPER EARLY, BAYOU BOI in Odessa Tx

Just imaging when this defensive coaching staff has more higher level recruits to work with. And Corey getting his hands on 5 star corners. Oh boy!

I think you hit the nail on the head Matt! Got to put in the time with your players.
Watching from Bayou St. John!
The BIGGEST reason Blake Baker is so good at his job? He wears CLEATS to practice. Players know Blake has bought in just as much as them.
They didn't have the guts to deal with Harold Perkins. He got hurt and then that freed them to make the decisions they needed to
