Lovely vid as usual. There's some bits which would be good example footage for an "introduction to photo composition" class; seeing shapes not objects, avoiding clutter in a scene, & such. Pearls of wisdom...
A cloudy day on IoW! Apparently it’s the sunniest county in England/probably UK. Would like that Pentacon man. It’s on my endless want list of cameras I don’t actually really need. Still have a few I have yet to shoot that I own 🙄🤣👍📸
Great video. I have started to rate my FP4 @ 200 iso after doing a few test to discover the correct film speed with Crawley's FX55 film developer. With two developing agents it really helps raising the iso to 200. So it's not pushing the film as such, just making the FP4 slightly more practical to use. All the info was from John Finch at Pictorial Planet and his great book "The Art of Black and White Developing". Let me know if you want to try it and I'll send you some to experiment with.
Have you tried photographing the rocket test site out near the Needles (I think)? I wasn't really into photography last time I went. I know the internal stuff was very very dark, but I remember there being some interesting stuff outside, and i think there were some pretty dramatic cliffs!
Hay if your ever down near Canterbury let me know I got a first gen mamya press 6x9 with a 150mm lens as well as a bunch of 35mm film cameras I'll come shoot with you
Hi Roger I need to tell you, I scrolled all your videos up to 7 years ago. Is it possible that you didn’t shoot any infrared film? I mean you have lots of videos and probably I missed it, in case you know what to do next. What do you think? Cheers 🍻
Oh I had 3000N, nice camera, I bought it to use my EF lenses. Batteries were hard to find (123 something), I purchased rechargeable lithiums but one died for some reason. Otherwise pleasant experience. Unsharp masking on your pics is too noticeable to my taste. Did you try selectively adding contrast to the skies?
Are you in the UK? CR123A are easy to find in Germany. I need loads of these. If they are that hard to find in the UK, I'll have to bring loads when I visit Wales this autumn.
@@OriginalTLab3000 no I'm not in the UK. Do not worry, they are available there (less than 2 pounds per battery if buying in bulk on amazon or about 4 pounds per battery in supermarkets like tesco).
Yes it is a nice light camera, accurate meter also! And same I can use my L series lenses. No unsharp mask at all. I never sharpen my scans. You can get batteries easily for it in UK.
It is beautiful over this side of the island. I spent many happy hours when I was younger traipsing over those downs with my camera. Nice pictures.
Nice video, what was the developer recipe and developing time?

I don't know much about the IOW at all, but I'm always surprised by your little trips, and how pleasant it is. Good work.
Thanks Neville. IOW is basically an island off mainland England (Portsmouth) full of farmland, beaches and cliffs.
Very similar landscape to Dartmoor, where I live. One of the loveliest quietest places on earth. (When it's not the holidays).
Really love the bench photo!! It's looking out onto a beautiful landscape!! This photo really shows that 🙂
Thanks so much! 😊
Lovely photos. FP4 pushed looks great. You need a workers vest when you are doing road shots.
I do Ted! Cheers.
Military Road is an awesome road, and also great to get some record shots before it falls in to the sea!
The carpark at Compton bay has mostly fallen in the sea. It's all been redone and extended. And it's free to park also now.
FP4 @250 processed in Diafine is gorgious!

It's getting like West Ireland here! Never used to rain as much.
Beautiful work!!!
Thank you so much 😀
😄Beautiful photos!!!👍
Thank you very much!
Thanks Roger!! Enjoyed it!
Cheers Bass
Still nice pictures. You can be the subject yourself. with a tripod, an umbrella and the Reveni labs remote shutter control.
I did that once! And the last time too! It was a slow shutter walking away. But I do have a plan without me 👍
Geese, is that 6 am? All I see is knees! Keep up the great work mate. :D
Morning!

Yes I have, many years ago though Tristan. I only went once.

@@EJej-z5g Thank you!
The unsharp masking is inbuilt from the particular developer being used - this was not from post processing

If you want a Canon EOS camera that does not pre-wind the film, EOS100 is good, I have one.
Thumbs up
