I myself as a Chaewon stan since pd48 i was worried about her when they announced shes going to be the leader. But i should've never doubted her, especially when she did so well as a leader in produce48 (during Into the new world). I guess their set up is great since it would trouble kkura a lot. Chaewon is kinda objective and a simple person, also very grounded. Shes also very reliable, and level headed (ive never seen her actually get angry, like never since pd48) i mean aside from the running anger issues fandom jokes. ❤

Why she is so sad
A lot of idols give up a lot of normal life things to become idols. They hardly see their families or school friends for three or four years. They are under constant pressure of evaluations, improvement, and worrying about whether they will wash out or debut, and if they do debut, will it be successful, middling, or failure. Early in a career, when they make a speech to the fans, they often get hit with an overwhelming amount of conflicting emotions that often result in tears. They aren't necessarily sad, but they are struggling with their emotions. You see the same thing when a group wins their first few music shows (They are happy/relieved and a lot of emotions they probably have kept hidden for years spill out) or when they perhaps win a show after several years without a win. It's not just the girls that have this happen. You see male artists have this issue too.
