i know this is a little late but... WELCOME TO JERSEY CITY!! thank you for making this video. this video was exactly what I needed. Honestly im just looking for some recommendations for protective wear since im getting into skateboarding
Just saw this, popped into my feed. Nice vid protection is very important in the Esk8 hobby thanks. I just bought the Exway Flex 💪 for my first commuter board for NYC. See you out there.
@@BrandonDGr8 Good to stay safe, but don't let COVID keep you from riding! The virus is gonna be around for awhile so you have to live a little and as long as you take precautions, wear a mask, social distance, wash hands & face when you get home, etc.., but man keep riding! Enjoy!
Thank you for the recommendations, this information is invaluable. That TSG helmet looks so damn good. I can't decide on that color. But tjhat is definitely what I am buying.
@@BrandonDGr8 I bought the knee & elbow pads as well. I want the gloves but they are out of stock. My TSG pass comes next week. I bought a onewheel XR recently and this gear recommended is very useful.
Is the TSG good for OneWheel XR Plus, cause I tried a dirt bike helmet and it was heavy and paraphernalia vision not as great either also I can’t see where my feet are positioned either...I really want a full face helmet and the TSG looks very Promising to buy...
I’ve used TSG Pass for onewheel riding. It’s a bit overkill since Onewheel can’t/shouldn’t go too fast but it’s still a great helmet if you want a relatively lightweight full face with good visibility
Hello, do you hear traffic well from inside the TSG Pass helmet? I'm an EuC rider from the Caribbean. Accessing a helmet is difficult as I'm not in the USA.
@@small-timegarden oh shoot my bad, didnt see that part. you can hear fine out of the helmet. there are small openings by the ears so you can hear outside the helmet
If you want a better full finger esk8 glove, check out Knox gloves, specifically the Hanbury and Orsa. They are the brand that makes the protection that Flatland is using. Keep in mind that the TSG pass is a one-time use helmet.
@@dominicsmall4566 Nope, only EPS foam helmets. Many helmets can take multiple impacts without compromise. Of course, if you crack the shell you need to replace it. EPS helmets are more compact and can take more impact. heelsidechill.com/best-longboarding-helmet/
If you don't care for the wristplate feature, i'd just get the current gen fingerless glove. But if you do care for it, don't get your hands injured before the new gloves release 🤞
@@JackOLanternBob last i heard, they're still working on it as well as working on improving their production and supply of their old stuff. Hopefully in August you'll be able to but some fingerless gloves
looks completely normal. that's the benefit of a full visor helmet as opposed to like the ruroc that uses snowboarding goggles. you get full view of what you're seeing. i have had no issues with distortion or anything
it's also a review. i spend time describing the details of all the products i review on this channel. put it on 2x speed if you want but it's hard to fit everything i want to talk about in a short video.
if you fall off a skateboard, usually your first instincts are to put your palm against the pavement. i've never had a fall injure my fingers to the same degree as my palm has been so the gloves are designed to counteract that impact.
Stop jittering the gloves in front of the camera and when you put them on tuge on them satisfyingly dont hover over the experience for 2 minutes jiggling them that's just not human bro.

I hadn't planned on buying a FF helmet, but after watching this video and remembering my motorcycle accident I will definitely be buying a FF.
your head and face will thank you! good decision
Buying a full face helmet after splitting my chin and lip. Fell on my evolve gtr bamboo at 20mph ..I hate there LA pot holes
full face is the way to go! hopefully you’ve recovered by now and you’re out riding again - with a helmet

Andy Ramirez wow 😳 really? I guess your right, some of this gear is pretty expensive. Some helmets can be worth couple hundred $$ .

Hey Brandon - How'd you go about fitting both visors on the TSG at the same time? I couldn't find another vid about it if you'd already posted it 👍
I wonder the same...
Can someone tell me why these longboard specific helmets are better than motorcycle helmets for PEVs?
I got the full face helmet can’t afford too take those L”s in 2021
