Epic 2 up Motorcycle Tour 2017 - England to FYROM S1000Xr

- 3 weeks on this epic road trip covering 7500 miles with my beautiful girlfirend! 2 we where riding for 12 hour days, camping most nights under the stars and mountains. Couples that ride together stay together! We rode through France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia! capturing moments on our tour via Finnoctanes camera! jumping from the Mostar Bridge and scratching pegs fully loaded with givi panniers and a 60l dry bag carrying food and our home on the back. Swimming in fresh water lakes, climbing mountains, riding the best roads in the world and seeing friendly faces in Albania. Parts of the balklands made us feel like we where on an ADV trip since the riding was slow and the fun came from the journey. Yet another epic Euro trip for me and the first time my girlfriend has been out of the UK! we will be back for more next summer with bigger and more epic ADV trips. All footage captured on a GO PRO and a Lumix G6. I was inspired to ride from people on youtube like: schaff, BaronvonGrumble. Shout out to Finnoctane for the camera he let me borrow! Rode to NORDKAPP this summer2021. I can just say “biker heaven”. Rode from the southern tip of Norway through the entire western fjords till Nordkapp. Took me 3 weeks. I highly recommend this to all bikers. Beyond bucketlist stuff👌❤️. Bike was a Gs1250R 2021. Ive sold it and now own a 2021 s1000xr fully loaded carbon edition.
What can you say about the s1000xr compared to the GS? Is it better now?
@@royo2064 well the GS is a more comfortable bike for sure on a long ride and more stable if you carrying luggage n stuff or a pillion. The XR is a more sporty bike. Very aggressive and vibrates too much which makes the body parts go numb sometimes. Its very fun to ride when the revs get higher(above 3000). The seat is not as comfortable since it slides downwards towards the tank, which makes you stuck often to the tank, and if you have a pillion, your there permanently. But both are fun to ride. Its up to personal choice what your ready to sacrifice for fun.
Wow, wow, wow. You should sell this to BMW to use as ad for their bikes. It beats any of their commercials I have seen. Smiles and joy that comes straight from the heart.
I have a k1600b and would love my wife to join me on something like this. You a a lucky man bro.

Was just riding with the wife in Slovenia and Croatia. Rode through many of the same places. Although we did not do 12 hour days or camp, it was a great trip. Thanks for the memories.

Fair play for jumping off that bridge in Mostar its massive 🙈😂
I live just 120 km's from Mostar and I never dared to jump off that bridge :) In fact, 99,9% of local people never dared to jump off it. Only professionals do it. Many people got hurt, some even drowned jumping off that bridge. It's 27 meters high and Neretva river below is very fast, cold and riddled with whirlpools ! Congrats on your bravery, but I must say that you were lucky too ! Great trip and video ! Hope to see more !

Also, if you can spare some time, please share your opinion about the XR comfort when it comes to touring. Especially for pillion. I'm planing to buy one (currently own an 2016 R1200R) and the pillion comfort is very important to me since we always tour two-up
great bike.. extremely fast! not as comfy as the r1200gs but not far off. the seat is thinner on the xr so maybe after market parts may make a difference for pillion. she did 12 hours riding most days on the back and just needed to stretch her legs every so often as the pillion pegs are a little high. the thing that made it comfy for her was the top box. she could lean back on it with a pillow and could sit for hours! i would rather have a twin next time for 2 up riding as the xr was poor with less torque in the mountains and hairpins. something like the gs1200 is better for 2 up but the xr will do it if you really like it and can be made comfy with a few mods! anything else just ask :)
