How can I do this without a license or certificate to be a Paralegal ? Since 2020 I have successfully represented myself in court and have drafted my own legal documents to get me in the courtroom. I've also successfully helped others with advice, document overlooking, locally and nationwide with their civil and family issues and proceedings. Have been doing that for 2 years now as charity for the community, and building experience. I now, as of a month ago, have my pre teenage son who has special needs and is home schooled full time and single, I need to make money from home.
Yes. I have my own paralegal firm and almost everything I do with attorneys, their legal assistants, and the courts is electronically communicated or filed. I generally meet with an attorney-client once or twice a month for coffee or perhaps a breakfast just to maintain that sense of human contact and maybe chat about a particular case. Otherwise, the future is virtual, it's electronic. It is cost-effective to my clients and to me, the assignments are completed in a timely fashion and I can work for attorneys anywhere in the United States. I attempted this a few years ago but was unsuccessful due to the fact that I couldn't get any clients. Now I am attempting it again, but now I will be moving out of state (to TX). Any suggestions how I go about this (getting clientele)?
TX (I've been in several markets) is an insular market from my experience. They're big on local and regional talent, and in some cases clannish, unless they're foreigners looking for any talent. If you are from another place that is unfamiliar to them, you may need to be related to a Texan (e.g. relative, partner or spouse, friends, spiritual/religious leader, or associates) in order to break in. Be prepared to answer and field questions on where you're actually from, what are doing in their town, and what you want to do there. They talk friendly, but are a human wall. There's a reason why people still migrate to the major cities in spite of their skyrocketing costs, as they're usually more open to recruiting outside talent.

Many of my clients and freelancers across the country would disagree. If practical advice is discouragement, then you should consider shifting your mindset. Clean your mind of discouragement and shine it up with optimism 😉

Not everyone has 401K or health Insurrance at their paralegal office job.
I am from India, by profession I am a lawyer. I really want to switch my career to virtual paralegal field.. This is really helpful video.
