Welcome to my woodland garden play area for kids! I've included lots of DIY ideas that I hope inspire you to look around your garden and your home and see what you can make with what you have. I am so happy with how it has turned out and I plan to just continue to add bits to it that make it fun for montessori play, inspiring creativity and free play. It's also cute to look at!

Can you pay down astroturf ? It’s synthetic grass. I doubt the badgers would like that! ☺️☺️

I'm making a list of things I want in my natural themed backyard playground, and this helped a ton! I'd love to share it here for anyone else, and please add on if you have any other ideas!
Natural wood train/car track wrapped around tree 🌟
[ ] Wood, concrete stones, border
[ ] Natural wood mulch, rubber mulch
[ ] Sand box area with a wood cover
[ ] Wood log stepping stones 🌟
[ ] Wood log stool and table setup
[ ] Large wood log with climbing rocks in it (like botanical gardens) 🌟
[ ] Pvc pipe water feature/ water feature, with little toys, maybe attached to the fence or a "stone(concrete carved like stone) backdrop"
[ ] Mud kitchen maybe
[ ] Wooden rope teepee climber 🌟
[ ] Concrete shaped den/tunnel, with concrete soaked towels formed to make a hill shape. Then dirt and grass or meadow seed on top to make a hobbit like feature! 🌟

I like these ideas! I am also thinking about a wood train track around the tree, or maybe something winding through the trees - just have to figure out logistics 😅
