finally some good old speed paint again :D wanted to do a voiceover at first, but I was too busy the last days I thought before I keep you waiting I upload it as traditional speedpaint x)

I am almost this good. My one and only problem is, I can never make the skin look realistic. It would mean a lot to me if you could tell me how you do it or give me some tips! please!!

This kind of style where the paint kinda leaks out of the face in an explosion of colours remind me of the artist Marion Bolonesi who I studied for around six months last school year for my GCSEs.
Its 100% my favourite style to work in bc I just love using lots of colours that splash about on the page in a harmonious way. So fun :')
Just wanna let you know Laovaan, You have a unique style. Adapt and learn from others but never forget or throw away your style. Bcoz its kinda your identity.

Honestly: Bots and people disliking by accident. It happens. (Dislikes apparently slightly increase visibility of a video for everybody but the person who actually disliked, so a few dislikes do not really harm the video in terms of youtube rankings)
I heard of something about TH-cam videos needing to have a certain amount of dislikes in each video to balance things out, not sure if this is correct though
I'm sure a few jealous people pressed dislike too 🤔

Hey Lao, could you do a video where you explain your sketching process? Like, do you use reference pictures or sketch it out from mind, do you have the whole image worked out before you start or do you work up to it. And any additional tips for people like me whose biggest problem when painting is getting the sketch right. You might have talked about this in a stream, but honestly I can't be arsed to go through them all. Thank you for all the inspiration and cool art I get to see!

Most watercolorists will tell you: don't even try to control watercolour, let it be loose and unpredictable, it's beautiful in its own way.
And that is true.
Yet somehow, here, we have a realistic portrait in wateecolour, while retaining all its transparent, dreamy glory.
The skill, patience and raw talent for colour combinations it took to create this are magical and humbling.

Ali Wag I don't know for sure if it's the same in english, but in german you would rather say "paint" for watercolors. There is an easy rule for this; when you need brushes it's painted not drawn.

Yup in German it's paint, i think it's a general definition and applied in english as well, but judging by Ali Wag's comments using "bewegen" and "Motivation" I guess they are actually German themselves and auto correct did it's job :D
